You have the mind of Christ friends! You have a wise mind! You have been endowed with the wisdom of God by the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells in you! Yes you! Philippians 2:5-8 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bond servant and coming in the likeness of men…..He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. You need to begin to operate in the mind of Christ henceforth.
You have the mind of Christ that is in sync with heaven, the mind that is one with the Father, the mind that loves unconditionally. The mind of Christ is gentle, peaceful, humble, loving, kind, thankful, generous, compassionate, selfless, it believes nothing is impossible with God, it knows the heart of the Father and works always to gladdens it. It pleases the Father always.
You also have the mind that believes all things in the Lord and His Word, a courageous mind, a heart of flesh, the mind that trust, is loyal, faithful, steadfast, consistent in doing good, forgiving, pure and holy. You have the mind of Christ Jesus! When you begin to operate in it, you will find out that all things are indeed possible with Jesus in the center.
1 Corinthians 2: 6 we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, 8 which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
9 But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man.The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.
13 These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. 16 For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
Operate in it friends! Walk by faith and not by sight! Jesus is Lord!
David inquired of the Lord every time and always got an answer, he obeyed instructions from the Lord and got victory over the challenges facing him every time. Note also that sometimes the response to our request might not sound logical to us, still obey for He who promised or gave the word is faithful. How possible is it to “hear the sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees” Marching on a tree? It doesn’t make sense but David listened for the sound because the Lord told him to. How many times the Lord had given us instruction and we assume it was our thought for it was not logical, it doesn’t make sense, God can not give such a “dumb” instruction we explain away our disobedience.
2 Samuel 5:17 Now when the Philistines heard that they had anointed David king over Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. And David heard of it and went down to the stronghold. 18 The Philistines also went and deployed themselves in the Valley of Rephaim. 19 So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?”And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will doubtless deliver the Philistines into your hand.”
20 So David went to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there; and he said, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.” Therefore he called the name of that place Baal Perazim. 21 And they left their images there, and David and his men carried them away.
22 Then the Philistines went up…
