In Love With God!

seeking God

I for one do not want to imagine where I would be right now without the love of God in my heart. I am so very grateful for the fresh encounter I have daily with the person of the Holy Spirit. He reveals the heart of the Father daily in the most unexpected places. You can never predict how God will show you a side of Himself you are yet to know. He is always fresh and refreshing. The love of God in mortal man, makes one immortal with eternity engraved in our DNA.

Lord Jesus, thank you for the ultimate sacrifice. It is an honor and a privilege to be yours and divinely commissioned for good works prepared in advance for me to walk therein. I have weathered storms, failed in many ways but my greatest achievement in life is knowing you as my Lord and Saviour and that in itself is a gift bestowed on this precious soul, placed in this wonderful and blessed body called Joan.

Thank you Lord for never forsaking me even in my unfaithfulness, disobedience and rebellion. You brought me back to yourself by love. You are the source of my life, joy, hope, peace, and my everything. Thank you for adorning me with your essence- love. I am grateful and thankful. Your praise Oh Lord will never depart from my heart and lips. Your presence I pray will never depart from me in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen.

Love you Lord!

Your dearest daughter!

Know The Lord Jesus?

Acts 14:1 Paul and Barnabas spoke so effectively that a great number of Jews and Greeks believed. But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up the other Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers. So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders. The people of the city were divided; some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles. There was a plot afoot among both Gentiles and Jews, together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them. But they found out about it and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding knowing Godcountry, where they continued to preach the gospel………21 They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch,22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said. ……26 From Attalia they sailed back to Antioch, where they had been committed to the grace of God for the work they had now completed.27 On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. 28 And they stayed there a long time with the disciples.

The gospel message spoken with love and truth has inherent power to transform the most depraved heart, present signs and wonders in the most unlikely vessels, in the most unlikely places.   John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. God’s love for you and I took Jesus Christ to the Cross. He died that you and I may have life and have it more abundantly.

Friends, with or without faith, there will be challenges. Life is a battle ground. There will always be something contending for your peace. However faith in the saving grace in Jesus Christ makes a lot of difference. In John 16:33 Jesus said “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Jesus Christ paid it all friends! Only in Him is hope, joy and everything that makes living life beautiful. Christ grace will make you to thread on your high places, go through storm but not drown, through the fire and it will not kindle upon you. Please if you do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ, now is the time to open your heart for Jesus to come in, He is always knocking.

Leap forward to the platform of grace and receive eternal life.

Jesus is Lord!

Holy Spirit! For Sale?

Acts 8:21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God………Act 8:23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.

84275017218c34fa84bf941449388195Simon who practiced sorcery confessed Jesus as Lord, verses 9-13. “Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done”

Simon had been astonishing the people of Samaria through sorcery, claiming he was someone great. Now that he has confessed Jesus as Lord he cannot use sorcery anymore for that demon has been cast into the abyss I believe. He felt he was not relevant anymore and was bitter, for he wanted to still be able to dazzle Samaria.

He wanted to be in the center stage like we all do, so he offered money for the gift of the Holy Spirit. How wrong he was!!!! The giftings of God cannot be bought, no amount of money can buy spiritual gift. They are bestowed by God upon His own, as many as believe and have a right heart before God! Remember, God knew us before we were conceived, His hands molded our hearts so He knows our frame, our hearts, and hears every thought.

Friends, bitterness will poison your soul and iniquity will paralyze you. You will not see even in the light for your eyes will be cloudy. Whatever hurts, pain, or worries that has turn to bitterness, please let it go!!!!!!  It is never worth your peace and eternity! Let it go! Let it not poison and bind you!

  • Peace! Peace! Peace! Unto you!

Competing With God? Haman!

Esther 5:7 Then Esther answered and said, “My petition and request is this: If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, then let the king and Haman come to the banquet which I will prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do as the king has said.” So Haman went out that day joyful and with a glad heart; but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king’s gate, and that he did not stand or tremble before him, he was filled with indignation against contentment-4Mordecai. 10 Nevertheless Haman restrained himself and went home, and he sent and called for his friends and his wife Zeresh. 11 Then Haman told them of his great riches, the multitude of his children, everything in which the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the officials and servants of the king. 12 Moreover Haman said, “Besides, Queen Esther invited no one but me to come in with the king to the banquet that she prepared; and tomorrow I am again invited by her, along with the king. 13 Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.” 14 Then his wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, “Let a gallows be made, fifty cubits high, and in the morning suggest to the king that Mordecai be hanged on it; then go merrily with the king to the banquet.” And the thing pleased Haman; so he had the gallows made.

1 Timothy 6:6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain. The cause of all ills in life is lack of godly contentment. You see the self centredness of man makes man to think the world revolves round him, causing him to covet and defraud and all sort just to seemingly take hold of what others do not have. Haman was such a man!  Entertained privately by the ruling royal, exclusive pass to exclusivity and yet was not content, but covet the adulation of that simple man called Mordecai, that has nothing else going for him but stand at the gate with dust all over his ragly clothing! You are right! It is quite easy for the nose in the air, self righteous to look down on those perceived to be disfavored as subject to be god over.

We all have felt like Haman at one point or another, where we felt we deserve more recognition or acknowledgement from someone, a group, establishment or community than we got. We’ve all at one point assume we are better than others and so on. I had felt disrespected by someone that I felt was not at par with me. We place our self on a higher scale and look with disdain on those others we assume, based on our limited knowledge to be of a lower class on the lower scale.

Friends, it is time to set aside our preconceived and faulty way of thinking and take up the standard laid down by Jesus Christ according to scriptures. We are all equally saved by grace, cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ, sanctified and ordained for His good pleasure. Be humble and treat everyone like you would like to be treated.

Fear God and depart from evil. Lack of contentment was Haman’s downfall, may it not be yours and mine in Jesus Christ name. Be contented with your lot in life even while you strive for more of what God has to make available for you. Don’t be a stumbling block for another! Come down your high horse. Christ speaks to you now, please listen, He loves you!

Shalom! Shalom!

Be A Blessing!

He cried out with a loud and bitter cry. He went as far as the front of the king’s gate, for no one might enter the king’s gate clothed with sackcloth. And in every province where the king’s command and decree arrived, there was great mourning among the Jews, with fasting, weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes………10.Then Esther spoke to Hathach, and gave him a command for Mordecai: 11 All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that any man or woman who goes into the inner court to the king, who has not been called, he has but one law: put all to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter, that he may live. Yet I myself have not been called to go in to the king these thirty days.” 12 So they told Mordecai Esther’s words.13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

It is a given for us to feel secure the moment our immediate needs are all met. Once secured, we become blinded to the collective need. We rationalize and assume all is well. Mordecai knew Esther might feel so secure in the palace now to care about her heritage. Just like Moses was secured in Pharaohs palace as a Prince in Egypt without any idea of his heritage. Once he knew though, Moses made every effort to help in his own power, not knowing the God of his Fathers – Exodus 2:1 – end, 11: Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren.

Mordecai had to remind Esther that she was granted favor and placed where she was just so that she could one day be of assistance to God’s heritage, her brethren. You and I friends are blessed in many ways to be a blessing to all others. Whatever you have, whatever you have attained in life, your position, your skills, your talent, everything you have was given to you either you believe it or not. You are meant to use your all for the glory of God’s name, to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ to His people- everyone. Genesis 12: 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

In what way then have I used my life to bless another? Has the circumstances and situations am in changed my disposition to impact others positively? Have I buried some talents because of fear or lack of care? The advantage position I occupy should be to seek the good of all and Christ kingdom and not to build a castle on water just to prove I have the means like is done in some quarters. To be real friends, wherever you are, can you think back and pinpoint something, someone God used you to transform?  A life impacted by your transformed self!

In my late teens, I was at Church and saw a torn neckline of the t-shirt worn by a girl sitting in front of me. I had tailor made dresses still hanging on racks in my room for over 6 months, yet unworn, while a girl just like me is on well worn clothe praising God. I was prompted to do something about it so after service, I invited her home which was close to the Church. The next few Sunday’s we saw at Church, she had the dress on, she wore a dress for 3 consecutive Sunday. When next I saw her, she was well dressed in native apparel with a baby strapped on her back. I was riding by so we couldn’t talk, but you know what, I believe God needed her to be dressed so she could move to her next level like Joseph in Genesis 41:14 Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh.

I never did forget that experience.  We must minister to others that which we have received of the Lord. If we don’t, help will come from another quarter, but we would have missed a chance to gladden the heart of Our Father in Heaven. Lend a helping hand, seek someone out today to bless. Make a call out to someone just to cheer them up. The Lord will lead and direct you.

Shalom!

A Table For Me!!

by Apostle Gabriel Cross When they always discuss you behind your back, it’s because God keeps showing “You” off in front of their face. He prophesied that he would prepare a lavish exquisite table for you, in the presence of those who don’t even like you. Don’t hate, fight, or delete them, GOD WANTS TO […]

Haman!

AlbertEsther 3:1 After these things King Ahasuerus promoted Haman, the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him and set his seat above all the princes who were with him. And all the king’s servants who were within the king’s gate bowed and paid homage to Haman, for so the king had commanded concerning him. But Mordecai would not bow or pay homage. Then the king’s servants who were within the king’s gate said to Mordecai, “Why do you transgress the king’s command?” Now it happened, when they spoke to him daily and he would not listen to them, that they told it to Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s words would stand; for Mordecai had told them that he was a Jew. When Haman saw that Mordecai did not bow or pay him homage, Haman was filled with wrath. But he disdained to lay hands on Mordecai alone, for they had told him of the people of Mordecai. Instead, Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus—the people of Mordecai.

Haman! Haman! Had he been content with his status in the Kings domain! He had the adulation of the Kings men but was not content. Haman was applauded everywhere he went, he had everyone’s attention but Mordecai.  An inconsequential slave like Mordecai not paying homage to me! Haman must have thought. I will deal with him, not only him but his entire race, what nonsense!

You see, Haman did not stop to think things through. I would have asked myself what it was that made Mordecai not to worship me. Who was backing him? What is his defense? I as Haman, would have questioned and deduce that there is more that meet the eyes about this subject called Mordecai, uprooted from his root, yet still standing tall with courage against a force like me – Haman!

Haman’s ego got the best of him like it does most of us. We see in part and base our judgement on that which we know and what we think might be the case. We don’t often ask question in order to know more, that is gain more knowledge in which to base our decisions and judgement. Haman would have found out that Mordecai as a Jew, the people of God, God’s own heritage cannot be annihilated! Can anyone stop the Sun from shining? Or the moon? I think not!
