Romans 5:1 Explained with my words as understood in italic.
Therefore since we have been justified through faith, knowing fully well that all our sins have been forgiven, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ for5:2 through Christ Jesus whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God.5:3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings because we know that sufferings produces perseverance;5:4 And perseverance, character; and character, hope: we boast friends because we are confident of what God has done in us by His Holy Spirit. You see, we have been transformed and are been transformed, so we are not who we used to be, though there are many and things that would want us to stay stucked in who we used to be. However, we have been liberated, built up in the most holy faith with hope which does not put to shame 5:5 And hope does not put us to shame; because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Ghost who has been given to us.5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Faith in God should birth a kind of peace in your heart that cannot be easily explained away. How could Daniel even go to sleep in that Lions den?. What is it about faith in Jesus that is so soothing?It was quite obvious the Lion had been taken over, however it was confidence in God that enabled Daniel to nap or maybe even sleep through the night.
How about Paul in the storm. The angel of God appeared to him, gave him a word. Having experienced God He knew it would be as it has been said.
What then is your relationship with your maker? Is He your Lord and Saviour? Your all in all? Have you asked Jesus to be your Lord and Saviour? Will you ask him today? Repent and forsake all unrighteousness so you can enjoy peace in every situation!
Friends, without a relationship, I mean a genuine one, not the facade we put on just to belong or sometimes to deceive. The Lord knows those who are His!!!
