I have often seen through my imagination Father Abraham telling his family he’s been called by an unknown God to leave everything known for the unknown! The looks, snickering, backtalk on top of the fear and doubt Father Abraham must have had sending signal between his reasoning, mind and heart.
Abraham must have been the obedient son, duty bound to follow Terah, his father as they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans, while Nahor stayed behind with his family – Genesis 11:27-32. Abraham continued on even as God led him without sight of where he was going but with assurance from this unknown God who was at that time yet to reveal himself as the Almighty , Most High, Jehovah, I Am That I Am and much more-Genesis 12.
I needed understanding about this faith that Father Abraham had that made God to refer to him as friend. Abraham believed against hope that God was able to fulfill all He promised. Abraham must have had a pictorial view of what God was saying, or else how could he have left the familiar, sure, and stable for the seemingly instability laced with oppression , slavery, and persecution in the horizon!! He must have seen that ” our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory – 2 Corinthians 4:17″.
Abraham saw his seeds with the eyes of his heart, even with the fact of the deadness of Sarah’s womb and his own strength far gone. He saw, believed, and rejoiced even as I am today!
Friends, I have seen with the eyes of my heart, I have beheld, I felt, touched and held and holding by faith all that God has earmarked for Me! I said to God ” it felt really good”. Absolutely good!!!!! Can you see answers to your prayers? The breakthrough in all spheres of life you have been longing for, can you see it? How wonderful it feels! The warmth in your heart, strength to your knees to even stand more still, waiting for the salvation of the Lord.
Have faith friends and open your eyes to see the manifestation of God’s glory upon your life. Start seeing the end result now even in your present situation. Remember that “as a man thinketh so is he”
Shalom! Shalom ! Shalom !
