Luke 5:17 …..And the power of the Lord was with Jesus to heal the sick. Jesus was merely teaching! He was speaking to Pharisees and teachers of the Law! These were well learned people! Teachers of the Law – they knew everything about the letter, they knew the religion but had a closed heart to the Spirit that gives life. Yet, the power of the Lord was manifested in Christ Jesus to heal the sick among them and others!!! God does work in all situation to will and to act in other to bring about His great pleasure in every circumstance.
Friends, you and I carry the presence of God, the power of the Most High God in our body. Are you a believer walking in the spirit in obedience to the Word of God? You are a power house! The power that raised Christ is at work in you! Absolutely!! You are a solution bearer!
Luke 16:19 “…and all the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from Him and healing them all.” Have you ever felt virtue leave you? Jesus felt it with the woman with the issue of blood in Matthew 9:18-22. You see friends, virtue leaves us to touch others in many ways in form of kindness shown, love given to another in our understanding, empathy, compassion, sacrifice of our time, resources and all for others benefit.
Some months ago in Church, I sat next to a brother. Something happened and I knew virtue left my body. I was surprised, even though I was not a willing participant, yet God worked in me to will and to act in order to fulfill his great pleasure which was to touch that brother through my hands for healing and restoration. I knew it, but could not ask the brother for embarrassment sake. You’ll wonder how could I be sure, right? I knew by the help of the Holy Spirit that lives within me. He will witness to you too if you cultivate His presence.
Friends, be conscious of the presence of God upon your life. You carry the presence and power of the Most High God. This is why the scriptures says, ” For we are the temple of the Most High God in 2 Corinthians 6:16. It also stated in 1 Corinthians 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s spirit dwells in your midst. Verse 17 “……. For God’s temple is sacred and you together are that temple”. Therefore, your body must and will not be defiled by sickness, diseases and infirmities. Your body and mine friends must not be defiled by the sin of sexual immoralities and the likes. Take care of it!!
