Dullness In Hearing! Seeing Heart!

cslewisbbbAs a child of God, be it a prophet, teacher, evangelist, encourager, etc, our familiarity with The Word, our “knowing” of the things of God, the mind of God, our age and the likes often and may cause us to have “dullness” of hearing, “weakness” in our eyes like Eli had in 1 Samuel 3. Yet God in His infinite mercy and love makes provision for us. He sent Samuel to Eli’s household and has sent His Holy Spirit to us in this end time as Christ promised in John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 1And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth.

To use today’s word, God gave us a conscience, to nudge, prick and commune with us amongst all others. Are we listening, or is our conscience seared as in 1 Timothy 4: 1-2?  Friends, examine yourself, examine your ways!!!! Romans 2: 13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law.15 They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.)16 This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

Father, we ask in Jesus mighty name that you will recreate in us a right spirit, may your Holy Spirit convict us of our sins bringing about repentance, may our hearts that have been seared receive life, may your truth take root in our minds, may we be quickened by your Holy Spirit to live right before you, holding unto faith and a good conscience in Christ Jesus mighty name we pray. We magnify your name for rekindling your fire within us. Thank you Father for speedy answers in Jesus name. Amen

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
