This is a given!!! If you have been in this race for a while, you would have had one of such seasons. The season changes very often and for some it’s short, for many others it is long, and for few it is prolong and I began to wonder why? Why did God take Moses to the wilderness for 40 years and only took Joseph 13 years? Why did Jacob wrestled for just a night and it was an angel of God, and David right from a teenager had to wrestle Lions, Bears, Goliath and so much more that God said there’s too much blood on his hands and therefore not qualified to build Him a house? King David himself said so in 1 Chronicles 28:2 King David rose to his feet and said: “Listen to me, my fellow Israelite, my people. I had it in my heart to build a house as a place of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, for the footstool of our God, and I made plans to build it. 3 But God said to me, ‘You are not to build a house for my Name, because you are a warrior and have shed blood.’
Today like many other days lately, I’ve had to wonder why! I am like, God, this better be good!!!!! You know the kind of advance notice for what is to come. You seem to have been prepared and all but when you are in it, faced with reality, you are like, it is not meant to be like this!!! The awe of the moment, gridlock, deadlock, and it seem the wilderness experience is endlessly prolonged. I mean, you are God, Lord, just speed it up please! You know how feeble my frame is eh! Speed it up now, let there be calm!
Friends, wilderness experience is different for each individual, yours may be in the fruit of the womb, financial, health, work related, marital and so on. For many people it’s just in an area, for others in two or more area of life and for few, it affect every sphere of their life, and the icing on this wilderness cake is that it is prolonged. What then do you do as a child of God, confident of the love of God for you? What do you do?
Friends, in whatever situation you are in today, this moment, know that God loves you!! Regardless of the situation and circumstances you face right now, God has got you covered. He watches over you! If His love could keep you alive till this moment, know that He will surely see you through whatever circumstances you are in or will be in the future. You need to remind yourself of Christ faithfulness in times past, it will give you a different perspective that will enable you to be grateful still.
Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him;…. God is still God regardless of your challenges, He is God of the valley, the plains and the mountain. Trust Him with all your heart for He will not fail you.
Abba Father, you are good and your mercies endures for ever. You alone are worthy of all praises, honor and adoration. You are all knowing, all seeing, only wise God. Let your name alone be magnified over and above every situation your children are going through this season. Show yourself strong Lord!! Thank you for always listening and answering, though not as we want, but as we need. Lord, meet this dare need of your chosen one that the wicked may not make jest of us in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
