When life situations happens and it impact us negatively, no matter how spiritual we are, we may stumble, it may knock us down, but we must not let it keep us down. We most often are hurt, confused, and question why such have come unto us. We sit down by the rivers of Babylon and weep!! Yes, we weep sorely and ask a bunch of questions that no one on earth has answers for. None other can answer the many questions plaguing our waking and sleeping moment like the Lord Our God and His Word! None other!!!!
This was the situation Joshua was in Joshua 1, God had to remind him that Moses is dead, his boss, father and leader is gone and it is time to move on. I can see Joshua moping around with other elders in the camp, wondering what next. I mean, it was Moses that got the vision, the staff and stood and spoke with God. Now He is gone, what is our fate they must have thought.
Friends, the loss of a loved one, trauma of failed relationships, miscarriage, health issues, loneliness, financial upheaval, insecurity and all sort will make us feel disjointed and weary. I am here to remind you friends, even as I am reminded that it is time to arise, start walking by faith to go over this Jordan, us and our dreams and visions, aspiration and desires, to the land which God is giving to us, new beginnings of joy, peace, new birth, increase on every side, success, love, healing, marital bliss, and much more of all that pertains to life and godliness – Joshua 1:2
The promises God made before life happens is still intact and unchanged. The loss, the heartbreak, mistakes, inability to conceive a child, hold a gainful employment, get married and all sort of challenges does not negate God’s promises. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon shall be given to you – verse 3.
Arise friends in the Lord’s capability, no man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life, means no more hindrances, nothing will dissuade you from following through on fulfilling your God given destiny. The Lord will be with you as He was with Moses. God will never leave nor forsake you. Your dreams and vision is attainable, not because you are able but because His Holy Spirit will accomplish it in you!
Be strong and of good courage. Read Joshua 1 and be encouraged, strengthened and realigned. He is faithful that promised.
