Prevailing Voices! Let It Be Of Love!

Lord God Almighty, I pray today for my friends and I. Lord let not the voice of our enemies prevail over our lives in Jesus Mighty name. Luke 23:23 But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed.

House_Divided

When evil reigns in a land, a life, a community, a group, people with opposing views, not seeing eye to eye will join forces and voices, albeit temporarily, they will come together in unity against a common perceived enemy.  This was the case with our Lord Jesus Christ. The Pharisees and Sadducee have opposing views, yet they bound together against the Lord Jesus, the man they have identified as a common enemy, accused of inciting the people of the land against their rule. The man sent by God to deliver them from eternal darkness. Luke 23:10  The chief priests and the teachers of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him.

Luke 23:1 Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate. And they began to accuse him, saying, “We have found this man subverting our nation.  He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Messiah, a king.” So Pilate asked Jesus, “Are you the king of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied. Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.” But they insisted, “He stirs up the people all over Judea by his teaching. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here.”

housedivided

Friends, many that have heard of your good works, envious of you and threatened by your light revealing the darkness in them will look for occasion to ridicule and mock you. They will band together like Herod and Pilate for the sole purpose of  frustrating your righteous cause. Like Haman, they will seek for your head – Esther 3. You need to be aware of this and pray that as many as gather together against you shall fall for your sake – Isaiah 54:15. May evil not sit in judgement over you. Luke 23:12 That day Herod and Pilate became friends—before this they had been enemies.

I pray Lord that your love will reign supreme in the land. I pray for grace for your children to set aside our differences in order to wage war in unity against your enemies, our enemies the devil. I pray that divisiveness, the doctrine of divide and rule will be exposed and eradicated from amongst your people. For a house divided against itself cannot stand. Help us to build well on the solid foundation we have in your son Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray. Amen

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Depart From The Futile Works of The Flesh!

When misfortune strikes an individual, or a collective, we often attribute it to their sin. It is assumed, albeit, subtly, that they may have a secret sin bringing evil their way.  The Lord said this is not so. May we be shielded from all evil. As the mountain surround Jerusalem, Lord surround us now and forever. Psalms 125:2. We trust in you Lord, therefor, we are are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever-  Psalms 125:1.

Luke 13:1 Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. Jesus answered, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them—do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

Jesus repeatedly warns in the paragraph above, “unless you repent, you too will all perish.” He went on to tell of the fig tree that was not bearing fruit. This is to teach us that God’s patience is meant to work out repentance in us 2 Peter 3:15.

Luke 13:6 Then he told this parable: A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, ‘For three years now I’ve been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven’t found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?’ “‘Sir,’ the man replied, ‘leave it alone for one more year, and I’ll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.’

works of the flesh

The patience of God with us is to bring us to the place of seeing ourselves through Christ. To see how unfit we are for the assignment we are created for and to seek for the guidance of the Holy Spirit to purge us so we may begin to bear the fruit of repentance.

Lord God Almighty, you are faithful and merciful, abounding in grace, be gracious unto us. Forgive us Oh Lord of all our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Help us Lord to depart, to forsake the futile works of the flesh. Enable us to be spiritually minded that your grace upon us may not be in vain. We honor and praise you Lord for speedy answers to our petition in Jesus mighty name we pray. Amen

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Relationship On My Mind! Unequally Yoked!

The Lord knew what effect and damage unequal yoke, alliance with those who do not know, love, and or submit to Christ can and will do to His Children. Apart from the strain of paddling in opposite direction in the same boat, it jeopardizes us as redeemed of the Lord from maintaining fire on the altar. It is a dangerous thing to fall away friends! The pain will subside, the wound will heal by the mercies of God, however as stated in the Open Heavens of November 11, “wounds can heal, but the scars would remain”.

Every instruction in the word is for our good, however in the hardness of our hearts, ignorance, and in many instances due to error, and youthful exuberance – I call this the state where we believe we have “super powers”, believers fall away from God ordained pathway for relationships into outright disobedience.

Deuteronomy 7:Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, for they will turn your children away from following me to serve other gods, and the Lord’s anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 Therefore,“Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”18 And,“I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Nehemiah 13:23 Moreover, in those days I saw men of Judah who had married women from Ashdod, Ammon and Moab. 24 Half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod or the language of one of the other peoples, and did not know how to speak the language of Judah. 25 I rebuked them and called curses down on them. I beat some of the men and pulled out their hair. I made them take an oath in God’s name and said: “You are not to give your daughters in marriage to their sons, nor are you to take their daughters in marriage for your sons or for yourselves. 26 Was it not because of marriages like these that Solomon king of Israel sinned? Among the many nations there was no king like him. He was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel, but even he was led into sin by foreign women.   27 Must we hear now that you too are doing all this terrible wickedness and are being unfaithful to our God by marrying foreign women?”28 One of the sons of Joiada son of Eliashib the high priest was son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite. And I drove him away from me.

King Solomon, the wisest king who ever lived was led astray, away from God. This reveals to me that our choices is not based on how wise we are. Solomon loved the Lord and was zealous in his worship of his fathers’ God, yet the desires of his flesh, lust of the eyes led him away from the path of righteousness. At the end of his life, he was deluded, vanity upon vanity he wrote!

The mercies of God is available to us today by the blood of Jesus. The Lord will indeed restore us to him if we call upon him with a repentant heart. He will make all grace available to us to bear our crosses and follow him, salvaging what is left of who we are and transforming it into who we are meant to be.

Nehemiah beat some of the men and pulled out their hair after raining curses on them. There is no one to do that, I mean no one has to do that now, for the situation and circumstances are the things pulling our hairs today better than any Nehemiah could ever do! We must learn to obey God’s instruction!

Father Lord, thank you for your mercies. For bringing us out of bondage, giving us another chance time and time again to live in obedience to your will for us.

Father, we ask that you will heal every broken heart that have come to you in repentance. Restore us to you Lord in your mercy.

For those that are in the middle of the hurricane Lord, show them mercy, speak peace to them Lord for many are hurting and cannot see beyond their noses now.

In your mercy Lord, let the light of your countenance shine upon the dark places and show them a way back into your will we pray in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Understanding Birth Reflection! It Regenerate And Transform!

In Luke 8 Jesus Christ traveled from one town and village to another proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. Jesus was accompanied by the twelve disciples and some women who He had cured of evil spirits and diseases. The women ministered to the Lord from their own substances.

Christ Jesus then told a parable to His hearers. The parable of The Sower. He then said, ” whoever has ears to hear, let them hear”. The disciples did not understand the parable and asked Jesus to explain it. This was the case in Nehemiah 8 also, when the book of the Law was read. The people said “Amen”, without a clue as to what it meant until Ezra explained it to them clearly. Only then where they able to receive, digest and bring up fruit of repentance.

Luke 8 10How often do we hear the word of God and it profit us nothing? Some of us have been following the Lord for decades, hearing with ears quite alright, but devoid of understanding. Why devoid of understanding?

For one, the Word of God according to Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword,it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

luke 8 18The Word of God is a two edged sword. It is meant to transform, to change, turn things upside down, down upwards. If we have been with the Lord for a while and our heart has not changed, if our minds have not been renewed, even when things around us have changed, then I doubt if we understand the good news of the gospel.

Luke 8:10 He said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that, ‘though seeing, they may not see; though hearing, they may not understand”.

This shows that we can hear, know about something, yet not understand it. It then will not profit us, for it is only after we have heard, know and understand that what we have heard can nourish and produce fruits typical of a regenerated soul.

There is a difference then in hearing, acquiring knowledge and understanding.

  • Hearing – You can hear without understanding
  • Knowledge – You can know about something without understanding it.
  • Understanding – You cannot understand anything without hearing and knowing.

It is thus, the understanding of what you are hearing and have knowledge about that will yield and can produce results, that will bring about transformational change from within.

Except we understand the greatest commandment, we cannot be regenerated and transformed to the image of Christ Jesus.

Matthew 22: 36 Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.   39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Whatever we are doing, if it cannot pass through this filter unscathed, then it is not worthwhile, it is of no eternal reward, be it paying tithe, worship, activities, service, “working” for God, whatever!!

Father Lord, give us understanding. Help us Sovereign God to understand your every word so that it may profit our soul in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Understanding The Goodness!Gives Overflowing Joy!

When I think of the goodness of Jesus
And all He has done for me
My very soul shall shout
Hallelujah
Praise God for saving grace

It has not always been like this
For I kept beating myself up
For all the lies I had believed
The dumb things I have said
The wicked way I had acted

Believing the lies gave me nothing to work with
I was tossed here and there by every wind of doctrine
Until the Lord in His mercy stepped in
He got my attention when my back was to the wall
Boxed in at every side with nowhere to turn

I lifted up my eyes unto the hills
I cried out for mercy and He heard me
He reached down to lift me up
He held me close and soothe my pain
Reassuring me He will never leave nor forsake

All those who put thier trust in Him
Rejoice therefor and be glad
Sing a new song to the Lord of our Salvation
To Him who was, who is and who is to come
Glory, honor, and adoration belongs to you

In Nehemiah 8 – Ezra the Priest brought the Law before the assembly, made up of  men and women and all those who were able to understand. He read it aloud from day break till noon. And all the people listened attentively to the Book of the Law.

As the ceremony began, everyone stood up. Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, “Amen”. Excitement was high until the words that were been read made sense. When the Levites explained what was been read clearly, giving it meaning for all to understand. The people must have realized how rebellious they had been, for their countenance changed and they became sad. Their understanding birth reflection.

psalm-143So have I been each time the Lord shows me another of my flaws, in my character, speech, interactions and reaction to others. Friends, as our hearts are been transformed by the renewing of our minds by the word of God, we will be saddened here and there by what we see of our true self.

However, the Lord has gone ahead to tell us in Nehemiah 8:9 “This day is holy to the Lord your God. Do not mourn or weep.” For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the words of the Law. 10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

This means that , when we notice our errors, flaws and mistakes, we should actually celebrate, for it means the word of God is actually profiting our soul, it is a time of jubilation. It means that we are growing, we are understanding The Word, and it is transforming us from within! We are beginning to take root downwards, and bear good fruit upwards.

nehemiah-8-10Therefor friends, celebrate your salvation, celebrate the fact that you are living to make as many mistakes as you have made! Celebrate the fact that all is working out, a plan, a purpose for God’s glory. Your mistakes are been transformed to a message for God’s people and His glory. Look deeply into the word and you will see a pattern of God’s great mercy and love in your life. Rejoice I say, rejoice in the Lord! You are highly favored.

Nehemiah 8:12 Then all the people went away to eat and drink, to send portions of food and to celebrate with great joy, because they now understood the words that had been made known to them.

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

How Concerned Are You?

How concerned are you? How concerned am I for the house of our Lord that lies in ruin?

You have two to ten properties giving you income, investments here and there, I mean you are set up financially for the next three to five generations! You care less what happens to the house of our Lord as long as the status quo is maintained!!!

Or like me, you are barely surviving, I mean, you are working hard to put food on the table, keep your head above water, and have a little investment, something for the next generation. I care less if Jerusalem lies in ruins. I have too much trouble of my own to look after, what do I care about the heart beat of God? Is this you? And I? For real Friends?

Matthew 3

This is where Nehemiah is different from you and I. He was saddened by what he heard about Jerusalem – Nehemiah 1 & 2.

He was the cup bearer for King Artaxerxes, the King of Persia, the “iku baba ye ye of his days”, the paramount ruler, powerful and influential person. Nehemiah was a creme de la cream of his days. He had risen from been a captive to stardom. He bears the cup for the King of Persia. What more can a man hope for. Nehemiah had it all!!! Why should he care about what goes on in Jerusalem? Good luck to them in Jerusalem would have been his thought if he were like you and I, present day professing Christ followers!

nehemiahbgFriends, you and I are far from been like Nehemiah, who had everything going for him, but risk everything to rebuild the ruins of what was left of his ancestors homeland. What are you doing to rebuild the house of God! What are you and I doing to infuse hope into the hopeless? What are we doing to revive the downcast, bowed down, weighed down by life? What are we doing to encourage the broken hearten, strengthen the feeble hands, share good tidings to the lost? What are we doing about disciplining nations for our King?

identifyNot surprising how we live our christian life, for to most of us, our relationship is “transactional” as Pastor Sunday Adelaja put it, our relationship with the Father of Spirits is not transformational. We are into Christianity for what we can get from God and not what we can do for him, and His people, the soul He died for.

If we care just a little bit like Nehemiah, then we would not stand in the way of the Lord. We would engage every gift, talent, resources at our disposal to rebuild the ruins of what is left of Christianity, Christ followers in our locale, and the world over.  “Ruins” because majorities belief in the community of believers is faulty. Spiritual growth is at best superficial. The word is misquoted and used to back up the lie we live. The true gospel of peace to all is far from our lips!

Unlike Nehemiah, you and I, oppress, beat down each other, withhold good from each other, and God’s Kingdom. We work for ourselves, enriching our pockets, building mega churches with “transactional” Christians in the sanctuary for material wealth and to maintain the status quo. We should have transcended this by now friends. Christianity is beyond social status, title, position, props and speeches to tingle the ears of Saints. Christianity means to rebuild what has been torn down, give hope to people, heal the sick, empower the weak, enlighten the ignorant, build up an army well equipped to disciple nations.

Friends, do not be a Sanballat, or Tobiah, against the welfare of the people of God. Do not hinder that which will benefit everyone including you, just because whatever!!. Everything does not have to revolve around you dear. God is more than able to raise up stones – Matthew 3:9, Luke 19:40.

God at this time is raising up an army, presently submerged under water. At the appointed time, when they rise up, what we know of , presently existing will be no more, for the flood will sweep the sanctuary clean of all those buying and selling!! This is a revelation for the wise to take note and readjust. His kingdom shall come and His will be done!!!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Staying On Faithland!

There was a priest named Zachariah, and his wife Elizabeth, is from the lineage of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the SIGHT of God, observing all the Lords’s commands and decrees blamelessly. BUT they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old. Luke 1:5-7.

What happened here? How can a couple with such a resume be fruitless? They were righteous in the sight of God and yet childless! Did God not say the fruit of the womb was a reward?

Psalms 127:3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offsprings a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Did God deliberately shut Elizabeth’s womb? Why would God withheld His reward till they were very old?

God had special plan for them. His reward was John, who is predestined to be the Lord’s forerunner.

Friends, please note that delay is not denial!. When you pray, and it seem your prayers are not been answered, be persistent and be filled with gratitude! Absolutely!! Gratitude because the Lord is making a special, one in a lifetime, custom made miracle just for you.

Whatever you have been asking the Lord for and it seems not forthcoming is going to show up if you keep believing and living the word!

Do not allow mockery of the wicked to discourage you.  I remember when I got married, a sister in law was unto me, pestering me, like you should do this and that. This was three months into living together. The intrusion made me to start worrying, until I was told she waited for eight years before she had her first child.

Why pester me then I thought? It’s a ploy by Satan to unsettle you with fear, doubt and the likes, thereby delaying the manifestation of the Lord’s promises! Reject the invite to worryland! Stay on faith lane!

Waiting period is a test of your faith, and loyalty to God. Zechariah continued serving the Lord regardless of his status. And in due time, the Lord gave him a miracle like no other, John the baptist.

Pray without ceasing – 1 Thessalonians 5:17, be expectant, and be prepared to take hold of your miracle.

Jesus is Lord!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
