His Cause! My Cause!

“The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. They will kill him, and after three days he will rise.” 32 But they did not understand what he meant and were afraid to ask him about it. Mark 9:31-32

The disciples did not understand what Jesus was alluding to, however, amongst themselves they were busy arguing about who is the greatest much like the competition and argument in Christian circle today.

So many disciple of the gospel today are not conscious of the season we are in, the handwriting on the wall written on walls all across the world seem not to mean anything to the Church establishment. Why am I of this opinion you may ask! How else can it be that we (The Church) are busy building structures, investing in esthetics, and bickering about the mundane, while souls in millions are going to decay even while they live?

We all want to be great, we want to be the first, be hailed, celebrated, feel important, fulfilled, but how can we be fulfilled while the very purpose for which we came into being and called forth goes to rut?

It is time for each and everyone, for we all have influence, not only the Pastors, preachers, bishops, but folks on the pews, mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts, grandparent, teachers, everyone saved by grace are to serve the cause of Christ Jesus. The first shall really be the last and the last shall be the first.

Leadership, influence is about serving a cause. As a wife and mother, sister, aunt and friend, I am called to be of service. I must always ask myself, “what can I do to ensure the future of my kids are pleasant? What does my friend, nephew, neice, or even co worker need? Am I available, willing and ready to serve? For my kids, I invest in their today, serve their need, guide and guard them so that they can be who God created them to be.

Leadership, position, motherhood, fatherhood is not just to be a title, it is a call to serve a cause much higher than yourself. I remember a time I was overwhelmed by life’s event and then a teenager I was serving was acting up. I was so overwhelmed that I cried unto the Lord. I said here is this gift you gave me to care for, what would you have me do! Please step in and guide my hands, emotions and everything to do it right and that was it. God showed up big time!

I knew all along that it was a call to serve, and acknowledging this before God invited Christ to work in me to will and to act in order for his good pleasure to be fulfilled in the situation – Philippians 2:13

Father help us to genuinely serve your cause in spirit and in truth. May we yearn and thirst for your cause – the salvation and well being of all souls you present all around us in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

How Long More? Rise Up!

Mark 9:14 – 29 When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them. 15 As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.

Jesus asked and responded as follows:

  • “What are you arguing with them about” he asked – verse 16
  • “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” verse 19
  • “How long has he been like this?” – Verses 21
  • “‘If you can’?” Said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes,” – Verse 23
  • “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, ” I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” Verse 25

26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. 28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, ” Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

  • He replied, ” This kind can come out only by prayer.” Verse 29

Think about this friends:

How long have you been arguing with the issues of your life? You have been going back and forth, negotiating, compromising, and yet no solution in sight.

How long are you going to continue in this situation? How long are you willing to put up with the unbelief in your heart? The impossibility whispering in your ears! Why will you not take it to the Cross? Be determined to rise up!

Think about it! How long have you been like this? How long more are you willing to remain the same, going around in circle without remedy?

If you can conceive it in your heart, precipitated by love for God, love for others and love for yourself, it is attainable. Everything is possible for those that believe.

You then need to/ have to cast down everything that has raised itself up against the backdrop of the Word of God, the plan of heaven for your life, and your freedom in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 10:5

Stand upon The Word, I say again, stand – Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Abide!

You honestly need to abide in Christ: Abide in the truth of the gospel, and God’s divine presence will abide with you

John 15:4 For as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abide in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me says the Lord.

What Is Written Of You?

Jesus said, “But Elijah has come and they have done to him everything they wished, just as it is written about him.”

I wonder what has been written about you! Remember that before the foundation of the earth was laid, God knew you and has ordained some certain things concerning you – Jeremiah 1:15 also cross referenced in Ephesians 1:4 and Romans 8:29

Brothers and Sisters, a lot has been written concerning you before you came to be, before you are who you know yourself to be. You should realize by now that your steps are being ordered of God -Psalms 37:23. There is no happenstance, it is ordained. You really must fulfill all that has been written of you.

I have come to assure you that the great destiny God ordained for you before the foundation of the earth was laid shall be fulfilled. You must believe this. You will walk the path ordained of you. And you are walking the path! Rejoice, you are going somewhere!

Everything is working for your good – Romans 8:28, can you not see? Even in that seemingly uncomfortable situation, destiny is being fulfilled. The divine is ordering your steps, working within your misteps, detour, and all stops to guide and guard you into His rest, His best for your life.

You should put a praise on this. Sing unto the Lord a new song. Shout aloud the praise of His Holy name. Rejoice and be glad.

Please note that if you do not have a relationship with Jesus, a personal one, your steps are not in tune with your God ordained destiny.

You need to call upon Jesus today to help you to align yourself with your God ordained destiny. Acknowledge your sins, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God – Romans 3:23, ask for forgiveness and the grace not to go back into willful sinning. Ask the Lord to be your guide and guard by His Holy Spirit. Spend time studying the Bible and your eyes will receive sight.

Welcome onboard as we all work in tune with fulfilling our destiny!

Your Soul!

Think about it!

No matter how you strive in this life, you only get a drop in the ocean.

Does it then really worth losing your soul for? Your soul is the only thing that leaves this earth! Therefore, feed your soul not your lust.

Take care of it. Feast on The Word of God!

Mind Governed By Flesh! Death!

What is governing my mind? What is governing yours friends? We do need to examine ourselves regularly so we are not deceived by the deceitfulness of sin.

It is so easy to be carried away with activities that nourish our flesh, our ego, while neglecting the concerns of God, his people, and choice possession.

Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation – but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. 13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die? But if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body you will live. 14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. Romans 8:12-14

We must live and breathe to please God by faith. A heart governed by the Spirit is not about self-aggrandizement but humble, modest, and selfless!

Father, you are our center, our hedges, boundaries, our all! Let us reduce that Christ may increase in us I pray in Jesus mighty name Amen.

God’s Concerns! Kingdom Business!

He then began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again.32 He spoke plainly about this and Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. 33 But when Jesus turned and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter. “Get behind me, Satan” he said. ‘You do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns” Mark 8:31-33

I wonder how many of all the professing Christians, including my very self have the concerns of God in our minds! You are right there that we have our feel good activities that we engage in day in day out, year after year! Are these really the concerns of God? Lord impress in our hearts by your Holy Spirit, your concerns and will we pray in Jesus name.

It has been written concerning Christ that he will suffer and be rejected by the very people he was sent to, and yet going through what was written of him, though painful, Jesus uttered no words. He lived to fulfill destiny!

Father help us to be about your business and yours only in Jesus mighty name!
