1 Corinthians 8:1 Now about food sacrificed to idols: We know that “We all possess knowledge.” But knowledge puffs up while love builds up. 2 Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. 3 But whoever loves God is known by God.
This pretty much tells us about the nature of love if you can see it from this perspective. Your love for God makes you known to God. It makes you known to others too. For the scriptures says by their fruits ye shall know them! Matthew 7:16-27
Matthew 7:16-20By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
God knows who loves Him. We should also know who loves us. If a supposed representative of God bears no good fruits that you can see amongst all virtues then you must know such is not of God. Do not be deceived. False Christians abound! Don’t be one either!
There is chaos in Texas and a Senator thinks this is the time to go on vacation? What fruit is this folks?
Talk is cheep! Action speaks louder!
It is time Christians begin to look at the fruits a tree is bearing. Talk is cheep! Action speaks louder! But when words are backed up by action, good or bad, you will know who is on the Lords side! We must be intentional in doing good! And for all! Not a selected few!
In our individual lives, we must take stock and weed out every greed, bitterness of Spirit, negativity, selfishness, and egocentrism most especially. Jesus Christ is our model! Be Christlike!
The story of the good Samaritan should teach each and everyone of us valuable lessons. It does no matter if the needy got themselves into their predicament, our duty as Christ’s beloved is to help. In the last 11 months or thereabout, how many of your Church member did you check upon man of God? How many did you send word of encouragement to woman of God? Christians should care for one another!
Love builds up! Love God, love yourself, and love others like yourself!
Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Or worship any being. You must get rid of the idol in your life!
You cannot serve both God and money. Or worship any being. You must get rid of the idol in your life! Then you will be able o offer acceptable praise unto the Lord!
2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.he
Love God, love other human beings like you love yourself. Be respectful and regard others as equal, not as less human! Only then can you really please God!
When Christ love is in your heart, it will show in your words and deed. Receive grace to speak words that sustains the weary.
James 3:5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
Speak God’s words and it shall be established. Speak words of affirmation and no condemnation. Evil words are viruses. Speak words seasoned with salt. Let the words of your mouth sustain the weary.
Words fitly spoken are like apples of gold in pictures of silver – Proverbs 25:11
When a man suffers misfortune, and loss, that is when you really know who your friends truly are. And how Christianly many speaks but do not act! Many will say very unkind words to you, treat you unkindly, gather others around them to speak more evil of you. And spread untruth about your situation!
Salt will be added to your injuries. This is the experience of brother Job, and many brothers and sisters even today.
Job 16:19 Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high. 20 My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God;
“The very same God that spins things in orbit Runs to the weary, the wern and the weak And the same gentle hands that hold me when I’m broken They conquered death to bring me victory”
Brother Job knew he was blameless, he could not understand why what happened to him happened, yet he had hope in God. But his friends? They were a whole lot different from what he expected. No word of encouragement or comfort but accusations.
This here sounds more like Job thinking, trying to justify what is happening to him, finding no cause, and must have blurted out Job 16:17 yet my hands have been free of violence and my prayer is pure. I mean Lord! You know me! Why all these?
Brothers and sisters suffering any kind of loss, heartaches, or contrariness of life. Please note that God is Sovereign, He knows what you are going through and He will give you respite.
I pray God’s strength be made manifest in your weakness. May His love envelope you. May the light of His countenance warm your heart. God is God on the mountain, as He is God on the valley, hills, plains, and rough places. He is Sovereign! And He cares for you!
Be comforted friends as brother Job was and said in Job 16:19Even now your witness is in heaven; your advocate is on high. 20 your intercessor is your friend as you pour out your fears, heartaches and tears to God.
But I, Joan, am a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own special girl, that I may proclaim the praises of Christ who called me out of darkness into His marvelous light; I Peter 2:9 NKJV personified
Words of Comfort
Behold, God will not cast away the blameless, Nor will He uphold the evildoers. He will yet fill your mouth with laughing, And your lips with rejoicing. Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, And the dwelling place of the wicked will come to nothing.” Job 8:20-22 NKJV
