You need to “stretch out your hand”. Whatever this means to you friends. It maybe be try it again, apply, submit, ask, go, walk, step out, do something! You must stretch out your hands!
Just imagine how many times this man must have stretched out his hands to look at it. He must have wept as you weep when you are overwhelmed by the issues of your life.
Yet, Christ beckons you to stretch your faith and look at that issue again.
Mark 3: 3 Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “stand up in front of everyone.“
4 Then Jesus asked them, ” which is lawful on the Sabbath: to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill? But they remained silent. 5. He looked around at them in anger and, deeply distress at their stubborn hearts, said to the man, ” stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was completely restored. 6. Then the Pharisees went out and began to plot with the Herodians how they might kill Jesus.
Many a time the Lord want to do somethings in our lives, but the Pharisees and the Herodians, will kick against it because they do not want the Lord to showcase His Almightiness in you. In such instances friends, learn to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and obey the voice of the Lord Himself.
Regardless of the approval of man, Christ Jesus will and is fulfilling His great pleasure in you.
Can you not see the outstretched hand healed? Your heart softened, your body totally healed, your perspectives changed, can you not see my friends?
God is doing a new thing in you! He is showcasing His love and power! Be grateful.
A few years ago I received Isaiah 28:24-29, and prior to that I had received countless that I could not make sense of. I knew it was particular to me, my situation and issues of life, but I did not understand the depth thereof. I sought for understanding and laid it aside when none was forthcoming. And now I am been prompted to take a look at this closely!
Listen and hear my voice; pay attention and hear what I say. 24 When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and working the soil? 25 When he has leveled the surface, does he not sow caraway and scatter cumin? Does he not plant wheat in its place, barley in its plot, and spelt in its field? 26 His God instructs him and teaches him the right way.
27 Caraway is not threshed with a sledge, nor is the wheel of a cart rolled over cumin; caraway is beaten out with a rod, and cumin with a stick. 28 Grain must be ground to make bread; so one does not go on threshing it forever. The wheels of a threshing cart may be rolled over it, but one does not use horses to grind grain. 29 All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, whose plan is wonderful, whose wisdom is magnificent.
When the Lord woke me up this morning with a thought so strong in my heart, I was glad, yet disturbed. What will come of this I thought? What and how am I going to accomplish this? Then I read my devotion in the Open Heavens by Pastor E. A. Adeboye and I was like Lord, why are you doing this to me? The Lord is saying, and I believe to all, He is at work in us to will and to act in order for His good works to be fulfilled in us – Philippians 2:13.
He has bestowed on us His Holy Spirit to work diverse works. 1 Corinthians 12:4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them.5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord.6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
The Lord is saying to you and I that He has been working within us, preparing, and equipping us for tasks He want us to do – Ephesians 2:10. Enough of our doing the same thing over and over, wasting time in disobedience. Now is the time to step out, step forward, to do what needs to be done.
Isaiah 1:19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land; 20 but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. Enough of resisting the Lord friends, you cannot win or change His mind. Open your mouth He said and He will fill it up. Open your mouth and the words are right there! Psalms 81:10 I am the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.
It is not that we don’t know where that need is in our life, family, organization, Church, our community, and the world. We do know, but refuse to take action waiting we say for the appropriate time and place when we should be working out our faith. We also have been prepared; for life’s situations have been preparing us for such a time like this. In Verse 24When a farmer plows for planting, does he plow continually? Does he keep on breaking up and working the soil? This is the time to sow! Now is the time to speak, let your voice ring out loud and clear. The appointed time to reveal the heart of the matter!
