Romans 12:6-8 If you preach, just preach God’s Message, nothing else; if you help, just help, don’t take over; if you teach, stick to your teaching; if you give encouraging guidance, be careful that you don’t get bossy; if you’re put in charge, don’t manipulate; if you’re called to give aid to people in distress, keep your eyes open and be quick to respond; if you work with the disadvantaged, don’t let yourself get irritated with them or depressed by them. Keep a smile on your face.
9-10 Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.
11-13 Don’t burn out; keep yourselves fueled and aflame. Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant. Don’t quit in hard times; pray all the harder. Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality.
14-16 Bless your enemies; no cursing under your breath. Laugh with your happy friends when they’re happy; share tears when they’re down. Get along with each other; don’t be stuck-up. Make friends with nobodies; don’t be the great somebody.
17-19 Don’t hit back; discover beauty in everyone. If you’ve got it in you, get along with everybody. Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. “I’ll do the judging,” says God. “I’ll take care of it.”
Let these words find a resting place in our hearts Lord!
Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
Just a thought in the shower tonight!! In 2 Kings 5, the story about the leprose Syrian general, the slave girl from Israel, and Gehazi.
If Naaman had not listened to the slave girl he would have remained a leper till his death. He was fortunate to have had a good and approachable woman as his wife.
Bring the scene to our present day and you will see how futile this would be. Imagine an househelp, maid, nanny, whatever they are called in your locale, making suggestion to the woman of the house of a top general or better still the vice president of a country, governor, or top official!
When Naaman took her as slave from Israel, he never knew God was setting him up to be blessed! God just needed to see his obedience all the way to heal him!
There are treasures in earthen vessels friends, pray for the eyes that sees, the ears that hears, a receptive and obedient heart.
Lord help us to see your handwriting on the wall of our hearts. Help us to see you in every situation. Let us not be a Gehazi, covetous and disobedient! May we discern and honor your anointing always in Jesus Christ mighty name.
Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
No matter how deep your sins may be, no matter how far gone you have thread away from righteousness and peace, the Lord our God is full of mercy and compassion, He will forgive and restore you!
You only need to humble yourself under His mighty arm, confess and seek His face for mercy. Call on the Lord today with all your heart!
Manasseh King of Judah was one bad King. He was so wicked in his ways that he sacrificed his children to strange gods and polluted the house of the Most High God with idols. Yet, the Lord had mercy on him when he repented of his sins and called on the name of the Lord.
The Lord will hear you friends when you call on Him with a humble and contrite heart. Seek God’s face for mercy today. He will hear you!
2 Chronicles 33:10 And the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken. 11 Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. 12 And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, 13 And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God.
Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
Matthew 6:24“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Are you all in with this Jesus thing? I mean, are you really committed to pleasing the Lord who gave you life? Or are your desires towards accumulating the delicacies of this world? Are you in and out with the Lord. Loving him in good time and far in bad times? Are you all for the Lord in bad times and have no time in good times? Which is which?
Who are you really serving? Your ego, children, career, business, self, satan, others, husband, wife, family? Are you people pleaser or God pleaser? Repent today and seek the Lord with your whole heart. The Lord demand your undivided attention, you can’t praise God and the flimsy things of this world? Are you In?
Praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow!!!!!
