2 Corinthian 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? 6 But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. 7 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. 8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. 9 For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection. 10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.
This is a call to self reflect, a call I was made to answer truthfully lately. I wonder how many answers that call! It is not an easy call to answer for it lays you bare before your very eyes.
You may see some yuckness, the kind you see in others! That’s right, it’s your turn to weed out all those tares. For while men slept, the enemy came and sowed stares – Matthew 13:25-30.
What have you allowed to creep into you, cling unto you, what is that thing you are romancing?
Help is available to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. The blood of Jesus Christ is available for you today. You know what? It requires realness, genuine desire to be made whole, to be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Talk to God, asking for help, and grace! He will not fail thee!
Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
Romans 14:13 Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way.
14 I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.15 Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.16 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; 17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. 18 For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
19 Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. 20 Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense. 21 It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak. 22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. 23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.
Friends, let us endeavor to live in peace as it depends on us. Let us begin even now to walk in love. I mean genuine love, compassionate towards each other, Let us stop judging and thinking the worst of each other. Christ is love, and those who live in love lives in God and God lives in them. Perfect love cast out fear! To really be Christ like we need to imbibe love – putting others in perspective.
We have all been through stuff friends, everyone has a story to tell. Do not judge a book by its covers. There are depths to what we see with the eyes, it takes discernment to understand and put things in perspective. Only the love of God in your heart can make a difference in the lives of others. Love conquers all ills!!!!! And Christ like love cannot be too much!! Give peace a chance in your conduct towards others, especially those we have judged with biase.
May the Lord reveal himself to us all more and more. May we have depth of insight into the mysteries of Christ like love. Lord! help my friends and I to see others through your eyes, and grant us the grace to love as you loved us all in Christ Jesus name I pray. Amen
