Acceptable Worship Of God

Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Or worship any being. You must get rid of the idol in your life!

What is that thing/person that you regard, respect, and fear more than the living God? That is an idol! You cannot offer acceptable worship and praise to God with that idol before you. You must get rid of it! Cast down whatever exalt itself above Christ in your life.

The Eyes Tells Secrets

Luke 11:34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. ³⁵See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. ³⁶Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

The eye is the window to the soul I hear this very often. Also, what we see with our eyes is a pointer to the state of our soul.

You can see love by just looking into someone’s eyes or hate as the case may be. You can see sorrow and despair in the eyes without a single drop of tear. I have been seeing beauty in a different dimension since the Corona Virus changed our world. I will look at old wrinkly faces and see love, compassion, kindness, strength, gentleness, calmness, and can even imagine stories of what these eyes can tell.

At dinner on my birthday a few days back my son leaned over to me and he whispered she is beautiful mummy. I was taken aback and looked at him, asking how do you know, because the waiter had mask on. He responded, her eyes mummy!. You see, our eyes says so much more than we would like others to know about us.

Also what you see is a reflection of the state of your heart and soul. To many people, nothing looks beautiful to them. Everything is ugly, dark, and worthless. This is the state of their being and has nothing to do with the object of their sight/wrath.

To some everything is in $$$ sign, not that this is a bad thing. However, when every relationship, every alliance, every activity, action, reaction, endeavour, and opportunities are all in $$$ sign, that is a problem. This means mammon has taken over!

To such people money is what dictates their love, friendship, kindness, alliances, interactions, respect, and regards. They can and will do anything for $$$. There profession of faith is directly proportional to their finances, and you are only as good a being as the amount of dollar they think you can bring, yield, or give to them.

I pray that we will all take note of what our Lord Jesus said, ” See to it, then that the light within you is not darkness – Luke 11:35; and pray for a renewing of our minds so our eyes can truly see Christ Jesus as He is, and His presence in the lives of the people around us.

Love Letter To You And I!

This is a love letter to you and I from Apostle Paul. It is also a reminder of how we were, where we were, where we left, where we are now, and how you and I should conduct and comport our self. Here it is.

It will do you a lot of good to commit these words into your heart. I pray that the Holy Spirit will help you and I to imbibe what brother Paul is saying here.

Dear brothers and Sisters In the Lord,

¹⁷So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.

¹⁸They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

¹⁹Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.

²⁰That, however, is not the way of life you learned

²¹when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.

²²You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;

²³to be made new in the attitude of your minds; ²⁴and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

²⁵Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

²⁶“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, ²⁷and do not give the devil a foothold.

²⁸Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

²⁹Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

³⁰And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

³¹Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

³²Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Enormous Power? Within!

Hmmmm! Trying not to seem puffed up, quiet, sitting inconspicuously, reducing your shine to blend in, is not doing justice to all that has been made available to you. Well, yes you were able to accomplish some, even with your seemingly limited resources, you set the ball rolling, you changed the dynamics, yet, you could have done pretty much more!!!!!!

There is still many more land to conquer!! Joshua 14:10“Now then, just as the Lord promised, he has kept me alive for forty-five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved about in the wilderness. So here I am today, eighty-five years old! ¹¹I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then. ¹²Now give me this hill country that the Lord promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the Lord helping me, I will drive them out just as he said.”

The Word said, if you are willing and obedient!! Willing to go all the way with the truth and obedient to the dictates of all that it entails, you will eat the fruit of the land – your labor of love, sacrifices, service and much more will be rewarded. You know who you are! A compact power hibernating so to speak, waiting for that spark to ignite a dynamics!! Do not fear, but be courageous! The Lord is with you and His mighty hand is upon you, no other hand shall be upon you! Rise up and stand strong looking out for the salvation of the Lord!

These Times!

These are the end times. The days are evil friends. The good is termed evil and the evil is coloured good. Evil is sitting in the place of good and injustice abounds. We have already been warned and the onus is for every bible believing Saints to watch and pray, holding unto our confession of faith.We must not allow the filth all around us to have a place in our hearts. Deceptions will abound, false prophets will arise but we have to get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in us, which can save us – James 1:21

James 1:22-27 Personified and brought home. We must not merely listen to the word of God, and so deceive ourselves. Rather we must do what it says. 23Anyone of us who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror ²⁴and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. ²⁵But whoever looks intently into the perfect law (of Loving God, loving oneself and loving others as oneself) that gives freedom, and continues in it, obeying and living by it —not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.

²⁶Those who consider themselves pious, religious-in the light and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, they reveal their folly by the multitude of their egocentric words and their religion is worthless.²⁷Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world- keeping pride, selfishness, anger, deceit, gossips, envy, and all sort away, at arm’s length.

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name, may your kingdom come upon us and your will be done. Lord have mercy on us and lead us by your Holy Spirit. Enlighten the eyes of our understanding that we might see wondrous things in your word and live by it. May your word take root downward in our hearts and bear fruits outwardly in Jesus name. May we experience transformation like never before. Let your Words root out every unprofitable shrubs in our hearts, that we might bear fruits for many to eat thereof . We ask and receive in Christ Jesus mighty name. Amen!!

In The Light!

You can only be in the light, the light of Christ through faith in the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You must let Christ word dwell richly within your heart for effective transformation and renewing of your mind from glory to glory.

Friends the Lord loves you and wants to do wonders in your heart and through you in overflowing measure. Will you yield yourself today?
