Burden, Confession, Healing

Confessions is tied to healings. It’s God’s word, God’s way! Obey!

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16

Is anyone still obeying this scriptures? Not so much I guess!

There are not many that can be trusted to keep confidential conversation secrets including ministers of the gospel! There’s so much lack of ethics and integrity in the institution! You end up hearing your matter from the pulpit!

Friends, May the Lord guide you to a godly burden bearer. It could be anyone, a total stranger could be what a friend of many years can’t be! Be led by the Spirit!

Shalom!

Love Letter To You And I!

This is a love letter to you and I from Apostle Paul. It is also a reminder of how we were, where we were, where we left, where we are now, and how you and I should conduct and comport our self. Here it is.

It will do you a lot of good to commit these words into your heart. I pray that the Holy Spirit will help you and I to imbibe what brother Paul is saying here.

Dear brothers and Sisters In the Lord,

17 So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.

18 They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

19 Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, and they are full of greed.

20 That, however, is not the way of life you learned

21 when you heard about Christ and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus.

22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;

23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

25 Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

26 In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 and do not give the devil a foothold

28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Ephesians 4:17-32

Living The Word! Truth!

“This means put into practice the truth you have already comprehended. We are responsible for the truth we currently possess.” NIV Commentary

What truth do you already know? Are you living by It? We all know the greatest commandment! Don’t we all? Don’t you? Well, let me tell you!
It is according to Jesus Christ, to “love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and the greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. Matthew 22:37 – 39

Let us act out on this truth, all of us that knows this truth, and I know, certainly so, we will be able to make a difference in our world, starting from our family. Charity begins at home!

Let us endeavour to live a life of love! Just think about this for a moment. Treating everyone the way you like to be treated, doing unto others what you expect to be done to you.

We will be kinder, nicer, thoughtful, selfless, respectful, giving, we will live more freely, be authentic, less judgemental, and the list goes on. Our world, I mean our relationship, family, Churches, community, will be different from what it is now!

“No matter what I am going through, love always pulls me out of whatever darkness wants to drown me! Love is my life’s anchor!” Joan Boldact

Help us Lord to live the truth we already know! Help us to not only love in words, but in action. Help us to forgive so we can be forgiven we pray in Jesus mighty name.

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Truth Is In Love?

The human heart and ears accept everything except truth with joy, especially when our wrong is pointed out to us. When you tell the truth to some, you have become their enemies. We must not dilute the truth of the matter just to be in the good books of our hearers!

Apostle Paul experienced this amongst many others. Galatian 4:16 He asked, ” Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?”. This was in the Galatians observation of special days, months and so on. Yet, this can be applied across board.

Friends, the one that tells you, and shows you what you are doing wrong loves you! I mean, if you come out of a bathroom with used tissue hanging out of the back of your skirt, or your zipper is down, and everyone can see your business, you would want someone to tell you right? Why then will you not want someone to tell you that you have become vain in your attitude?

Lord I am asking this day for a friend like no other, true, loyal, and discreet. A friend that will correct me in love, tell me the truth about my oversight, and pray for me. Drive far from me everyone that will sugar coat thier speech around me, tiptoe over my mistakes, and praise my errors, yet gossip about me.

Holy Spirit, let the truth of The Word begin to shape my life to conform to the image of my Lord and Saviour. Jesus Chirst the King eternal, world without end in Jesus mighty name. Amen
Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Love In Perspective

Romans 12:9 Love must be sincere – not twofaced – let words=actionwe are only permitted to Hate what is evil – do not turn a blind eye, dress/paint/cover it up, excuse/explain it awaycling to what is good – uphold justice, do the right thing 10 Be devoted to one another in love – regardless of whatever. Honor one another above yourselves – not just the “high and mighty” – the wealthy, and affluent 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervoras you are not lacking in zeal do not quench anothers fire, do not be a stumbling block – hindering and discouraging othersserving the Lord.12 Be joyful in hope , patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”  13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need – not oppressing, ridiculing, or as subject of gossipsPractice hospitality – not just to those we hope to reap from, but to all.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone 18 If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”says the Lord. 20 On the contrary; “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Just putting scripture in perspective! We quote these very often, believe it, but are we living it? Make amend from today.

Ask the Lord to help you by His Holy Spirit to live by His words!

Father thank you for your faithfulness. Be magnified Eternal King of glory in Jesus name. Amen

Neglecting Need! In Totality!

Nehemiah 10:37 “Moreover, we will bring to the storerooms of the house of our God, to the priests, the first of our ground meal, of our grain offerings, of the fruit of all our trees and of our new wine and olive oil. And we will bring a tithe of our crops to the Levites, for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all the towns where we work. 38 A priest descended from Aaron is to accompany the Levites when they receive the tithes, and the Levites are to bring a tenth of the tithes up to the house of our God, to the storerooms of the treasury. 39 The people of Israel, including the Levites, are to bring their contributions of grain, new wine and olive oil to the storerooms, where the articles for the sanctuary and for the ministering priests, the gatekeepers and the musicians are also kept. “We will not neglect the house of our God.”

“WE WILL NOT NEGLECT THE HOUSE OF OUR GOD”  There is no shortage of sermons about tithing, first fruits, and offerings, so I will not belabor you with it friends.  The message, or rather the question that has been gnawing at me considering what I have seen, heard, and read lately is “Are there still Prophet like Elijah? Are there?

neglecting the house of God

Are there still men and women after God’s heart like David, Deborah and Esther who said in Esther 4:16 “Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”

b4390a5a-5388-4622-bc32-7f44c3e65a13Do we still have men like Elijah who called down fire upon the Prophets of Baal in 1 Kings 18:16-45.

“We will not neglect the house of our God”  The house of God is neglected when evil is perpetrated in our midst and we turn our eyes away. We neglect the house of God when, truth, justice, compassion, love, and kindness has taken the backseat in our services, offerings, and daily living – Christlike living.

We rob God when we shortchange what is due, the right thing, for what is convenient for us to the detriment of another and God’s Kingdom. God is looking for men and women, you and I to strip off our camouflage, stop deceiving each other and start living right, SEEKING FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS wholeheartedly, and not our own kingdom on earth.

1 Corinthians 3:10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care.11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work.

Hmmm! Friends your work and mine, can it, will it pass the test? Lord have mercy on us we plead!

14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames. 16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

That brother you are cheating, the organization and business partner you are defrauding, and the employee you refuse to pay their wages, yes! These are all God’s temple and should not be neglected.

18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”; 20 and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” 21 So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours,22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.

Lord raise up Elijahs in this generation, men and women after your heart, to build up your Kingdom, your body, and temple, rid your sanctuary of pest and parasite – the prophets of “Baal” operating in disguise in the temple . Please count us worthy to be one of such Lord. Clothe us in your power and grace in, and enable us Lord to care for your house in Spirit and in truth with love.

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Restrained Hands! The Lord’s Mercy!

Nabal’s response of disgust towards David was deserving of commensurate action by David. Read 1 Samuel 25

However, David’s intention was more severe, though justified from many angle except the divine. Thank God for the quick intervention of Abigail, who the Lord used to restrain the hand of David from shedding innocent blood.

The Lord used Abigail, a human for David, I wonder who, or what the Lord uses presently to restrain His children from sinning? Abigail was like a conscience for David, a mirror reflecting his intention, a voice of reasoning. May the Lord place such along our path.

David could have resisted, ignoring the voice of reasoning, kill Abigail, and proceed to wipe out Nabal and all that is his,  however, he didn’t! And Abigail? She took her life in her hands just like Esther in Esther 4:16.

The Holy Spirit, the word of God and our moral compass tells us when we are doing something wrong. The question then is, are we listening?

The Lord has, and is sending whatever that needs to be sent, to restrain you and yours from damnation. Will you heed the call today? The call to yield your heart, and life unto the Lord.

It is by the mercies of God that you and I are not consumed – Lamentation 3:22-23. It is the hand of the Lord that has kept you and I from grievous sin.

It is God’s hand restraining the wicked one from making a shish kebab of us!

Yield your heart today! Tomorrow may be too late!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Testimony! Yours And Mine!

What is your testimony? What is my testimony? The experiences of your life, your successes, and failures, your pain, disappointments and all. The sum of all your experiences, has it in anyway served to advance the gospel? Have you even thought of the positive impact it would have? A pure reflection of an awesome God, full of love, mercy and compassion! Or has it only been a roller coaster of pity party?

Apostle Paul, having been imprisoned, gave a testimony in Philippians 1:12- 19 that what has happened to him has actually served to advance the gospel.13 As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ. 14 And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have confident in testthe Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, 19 for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.

The events, the happenings in a life yielded to Christ Jesus must of necessity glorify God. Your life, my friend and I should reflect an aspect of Christ’s presence, like the burning bush Moses witnessed in Exodus 3:2-3.

I sure hope and pray that unbelievers and believers likewise are been encouraged by your life and mine. Or are they been discouraged? Do they really want to know the God we profess? Your character and mine, our way of life, is it worthy of emulation?

testimony

Friends, let us allow Christ to be exalted in our life. Be a good example of a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, full of compassion, kind and gracious. Receive grace to live a life worthy of Christ’s calling on your life. Philippians 1:27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Good? Bad? Be Rewarded!!!!

The Lord our God will manifest Himself in the midst of His people like we have not seen lately. Are you ready? Am I ready for the Lord’s visitation? Am I ready? Are you friends?Have you been faithful in your charge? Have I been faithful? Are you expectant? Am I?

Luke 12: 47 The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows.48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.

29fab3c9-d4b1-4c33-a6f0-7b1c8320e969You and I have been entrusted with so much. We have found favor of God, empowered, ordained, and chosen for a time like these! What have we done and are doing with what we have been given? Are you faithful in the little? Are you obedient to the Lord’s commands?

The visitation of the Lord is like a two edged sword. Disobedience will get its reward, likewise obedience. What has been sown will yield and the harvest will be bountiful. What have you sown my friend? What have I sown? Good deeds or bad? The Lord comes with His reward even now!!!!!!!

Please note that it is not too late to make amends as we start this new year, month, week, day, and hour. Repent today, turn on a new leaf, seek God’s face truthfully, serve Him with sincerity, worship Him in spirit and in truth. Friend, be kind and compassionate, look for the good of others and God’s kingdom, do not stand in the way of others, do not be a stumbling block either. Set your heart to be good, see good, do good and sow good, for whatever you sow is what ye shall reap. The Lord will reward you accordingly and speedily this year of the manifestation of His presence.

Welcome to 2017, a year filled with  blessings, treasures, and pleasure at every turn in the pursuit of God’s divine agenda for His Kingdom!
