I was at a prayer meeting and heard a prayer point that got me thinking! Prayer for God to heal my emotions. You see friends, we’ve all gone through some heartbreak at one time or another in this journey and as such this prayer we all pray with all urgency.
We often have different emotions though, love, hate, envy, rage, jealousy, sheer madness- hate for everything good. These are all the works of the enemy except love which is from love Himself – Our Lord Jesus Christ for it is written in 1 John 4:8 “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love” yet it is an emotion that sometimes we don’t have a handle on.
How? You might ask. We sometimes love others to our own detriment. We were commanded to love others as ourselves, however we go above and beyond sometimes and love another more than ourselves.
We often find out that we love those who care less about us. We give our hearts in love and it get trashed and trampled upon. We get hurt, broken, and sometimes depressed and then the unthinkable happens. Times down the road we realize that we love those who have hurt us the most. Why? You might ask! We realize that had they really known the gift that we bore, they would not have handled it the way they handled our trust and loyalty. We find excuses for their shortcomings and overlook offenses. Mind you, we point out mistakes, correct, and try to discern what is amiss. We soon lose trust in them totally, and sometimes temporarily, yet we love them with the love of God still..
Really? Yes! That is when we realize that the love of Christ has really been shared abroad in our hearts. When we can genuinely pray for God to bless someone who has hurt us, we become more like Jesus our Lord. Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Stephen was a man that loved to the point of death. You see because of His love for his fellow, he worked hard at ensuring they had an accurate account of their journey so far as a people of God, for some of them had forgotten. They have followed their own sinful way. Some believed so much in their self righteousness and had no room for the truth of God’s word. Some hearts had become so calloused and needs to be soften by the truth of the gospel of joy, peace and salvation by grace alone in the totality of the death of Jesus Christ at Calvary.
Acts 7: 54 When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth. 55 But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God, 56 and said, “Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!”
57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and ran at him with one accord; 58 and they cast him out of the city and stoned him. And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. 59 And they stoned Stephen as he was calling on God and saying, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” 60 Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.
The truth sometimes is like a dagger in the heart of some, like bile in the mouth of most. However, like the Scriptures says, it is the truth that can really set us free. The truth in the Word of God residing in our heart and practiced wholeheartedly without pretense will heal, enabling us to love God, ourselves and our fellow without inhibition or ulterior motives like Christ did!
Christ Jesus love you friend and loves me more I believe! 🙂
Joel 2:28“And it shall come to pass afterward
That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your old men shall dream dreams,
Your young men shall see visions.
29 And also on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
…..32 And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance,
As the Lord has said,
Among the remnant whom the Lord calls
The Lord is ready to pour out His Spirit upon us. God is ready to fire us up for this endtime, He has his basket full of goodies for Us .
The question then is are we ready? Is the Church ready to lay aside the sins that easily beset?
The worship of mammon, the hypocrisy of religion, and the error of Balaam!
Is the Church willing and obedient? Have we prepared the place of our tent to receive the abundance of heaven? Can we comprehend that the Most High God wants each and everyone of US to carry His presence with US wherever we go?
Can we fathom the depth of what is in stock for us? Signs and wonders confirming the Word, miracles that cannot be explained away, extraordinary occurrences – healings, restoration, deliverance, breakthroughs, insights, increase and dominion that can only be Our Lords handwriting.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.Romans 12:1-2
Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. 9 The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Psalms 145:8-9
Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. 2 His descendants will be mighty on earth; The generation of the upright will be blessed. 3 Wealth and riches will be in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
4 Unto the upright there arises light in the darkness; He is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. Psalms 112:1-4
Colossians 1: 9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. 13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. 18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.
Dear Lord Almighty, I pray that you will have preeminence in my life, family and community. That you will fill me and my brethren with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so we may walk worthy of You our Savior, fully pleasing you in all our ways, so we may be fruitful in every Good Work, not hindering or being a rock of offence to each other, but being supportive of each other to the fulfilment of your plan and purpose for our lives. Lord increase our knowledge of you so we may be strengthened with might by your Holy Spirit in our inner mind according to your glorious power that works in us. That we will be patient with each other, loving each other as ourselves, not Lording it over each other but respecting and honoring, nurturing and encouraging, treating each other as we would love to be treated, not puffed up, not oppressing, neither discouraging each other from serving you our Lord. That we might genuinely give thanks to you Our Father, who has qualified US all to be partakers of the inheritance of the Saints, those washed by the blood of Jesus Christ. For you have delivered US from the kingdom of darkness and translated us by your love to the kingdom of your dear Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth in whom we have redemption through His death and the shedding of His blood on Calvary’s tree, cleansing all our sins, nailing it to the Cross.
For by Christ were all things created both those in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Christ and for Christ, confirming to me and my brethren that all things must work well for our good. The wicked one been used to bring us to the consciousness that greater is Christ in us than the wicked one buffeting us.
Praise to your Holy Name Oh Lord Our Righteousness!
Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same.4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.
Titus 3: 1 Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, 2 to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. 3 For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.
Titus 1:10 For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, 11 whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. 12 One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.” 13 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith,14 not giving heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn from the truth. 15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.
The most misquoted and misused scripture that leads many to bondage is these verses above. If any one under the guise of leadership, authority and the likes threaten you in any way to do what you know is not of God, please resist and ignore the ecclesiastical turban, the big cross or the long letters after the names. Some have gone into bondage under the cloak of Satan, others exchanged their glorious destiny for a pot of porridge. Respect and honor men and women of God, but do not make them into idol. Every saint was purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on Calvary for ALL. READ THE BIBLE!!!!!! Prophet, Bishop, Pastor, Evangelist – They will not stand before the judgement sit on your behalf. Obey authority, however whenever authority clashes with the word of God. Stand on the truth of the Word! No being is permitted to stand in the place of God in your life. No one should dictate the pace of your walk with God. Let no one cheat you out of communion with your saviour. Many false prophets abound now as the scripture has stated. They have gone out deceiving saints and hindering the spread of the true gospel of Jesus Christ.
Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. 14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it. 15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16 saying, “What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17 But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.” 18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered and said to them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” 21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done. 22 For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed.
Friends, respect and honor not only those in leadership over you, but also elders, men, women, children, strangers – respect and honor all beings. Every Life Matters! Treat people as you would like to be treated. Be nice, kind, and loving. Let your words be seasoned with salt. Be gentle and peaceful, however do not trade the liberty you have in Christ with anything this world and its evil wants to offer you. Be on your guard for the times are evil.
Esther 1: 9 Queen Vashti also made a feast for the women in the royal palace which belonged to King Ahasuerus. 10 On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, seven eunuchs who served in the presence of King Ahasuerus, 11 to bring Queen Vashti before the king, wearing her royal crown, in order to show her beauty to the people and the officials, for she was beautiful to behold. 12 But Queen Vashti refused to come at the king’s command brought by his eunuchs; therefore the king was furious, and his anger burned within him.
Contrary to the pride that was said to cause Queen Vashti’s been dethrone I think she is a woman of courage. She upheld the dignity of womanhood even against the threat of death or banishment. She would rather die or be condemned to a solitary life than be paraded undignified before drunken and reviling men with no sense of morals or justice.
All the wives I suppose were having their own party, why Vashti alone?. She would have been able to hide in the multitude had they all been called forward right!
Would those men have paraded their wives for King Ahasuerus? What we cannot accept as a person, we often insist on another. We treat others the way we would not like to be treated and when they resist, we castigate them as been proud and obnoxious! All the other women before Vashti who complied with this indignity – where are they? Never referred to in the scripture! Or maybe there were none, still she lived with her dignity intact. Do not strip me naked in public and cover me up privately Vashti screamed by her action!
Very often we compromise our beliefs, faith and dignity just to be accepted, to belong at all cost even when we were created distinctly but jointly fit together to be one with God. We are uniquely created by the master planner for a purpose. You my friend need to find what that purpose is and go all out to fulfill it. Have unwavering faith even in the face of all ills that might pave the way. He who created you knows very well what you are facing and what you will face and already has a way of escape for you.
The recurring theme in the word of God is that there is consequence for all actions. Obedience brings prosperity and disobedience brings calamity. There are some inbetween that we cannot explain other than the act of God, like when Jesus disciples asked him about the man blind from birth, was it his mother that sinned or his father and Christ responded that neither but that the work of God may be made manifest.
John 9:1 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.
2 Chronicles 31:4 Moreover he commanded the people who dwelt in Jerusalem to contribute support for the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the Law of the Lord. 5 As soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in abundance the first fruits of grain and wine, oil and honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything……Verse 10..“Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the Lord, we have had enough to eat and have plenty left, for the Lord has blessed His people; and what is left is this great abundance.”.…..16 ..Besides those males from three years old and up who were written in the genealogy, they distributed to everyone who entered the house of the Lord his daily portion for the work of his service, by his division,……18 and to all who were written in the genealogy—their little ones and their wives, their sons and daughters, the whole company of them—for in their faithfulness they sanctified themselves in holiness. Verse 20 Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the Lord his God. 21 And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.
Friends, are you wholeheartedly serving God in Spirit and truth? Does it seem nothing is working for you and you are beginning to wonder why? Have you sought God’s face? You have promises and its taking too long you presume? Wait for it! Are you beginning to let doubt seep in? Don’t please, for the promise is for an appointed time, it will not tarry but come at the appointed time. Encourage yourself like David did. Praise and pray to God, who only can make all things beautiful. Do you know God is making out a miraculous wondrous wonder with your name on it? Yes you! God is working out those long standing issues of your life. You are for His glory, the totality of your being is for the glory of your Father in heaven.
Oh my friend, there is no happenstance with our God. He planned everything long ago, before the foundation of the earth was laid. God knew you before you were conceived, He has not forgotten you. Hold on still! The carrier of good news is at your door. Yes! Wait for it, can you hear the footsteps, can you smell the fragrance of His presence? Tune up your antenna friends, I hear the rain falling! Your seed will bud and you will have abundance of all that pertains to life and godliness, your barn shall be filled up. All the ditches you have made will be filled up. Can you feel the tiny seed in your womb, fluttering of butterfly? You are carrying and will bring to birth? Be encouraged friends, God is working things out for you. You will prosper in all division of your life.
Dearest, you can expect the above only if your trust is in the Lord Jesus. To expect without commitment is at best foolishness. You have to be aligned with heaven. Accept Jesus Christ into your life today. He loves you!
My future is bright, I will get there, wonderful, shining bright, I will get there!
My past? Well, it is wiped off, erased, cleaned up with my saviors blood! How dare you taunt me with it? How dare you? My savior shed His blood for it. Yes, Jesus shed his blood to wipe it off record? And the false accusations?
Exodus 20:16 You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
How dare you, supposed Sister or the devils advocate? Ploy to distract me will not succeed. My face is set like a flint!!!!
The scripture state in Revelation 12:10-12, “Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. 12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”
Repent now, you judge of Israel! The blood of Jesus is available to wash away your filth. Purge your heart of all the filth spewing out every now and then. Do not let it consume you, Jesus is not willing that any should perish, but come to genuine repentance.
Dear Lord God Most High, have mercy on my friends and I in Jesus name. Lord cleanse us of all filthiness, renew a right spirit within us, endow our lips oh Lord with wisdom – the words that will sustain the weary. Let us not be a stumbling block to our brethren. Let our conduct bring many to your presence and the truth of your love in Jesus mighty name. Amen
Ephesians 5:1-20 (NIV)
5 1 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 7 Therefore do not be partners with them.
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:
“Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
