Just Own Up! Woo Sing And The Mirror!

An ancient Chinese proverb says “The fire you kindle against another often burns you more than it will ever burn another. To keep your temper under control is the toughest kind of discipline it says.

This story goes thus. A boy named Woo Sing was on the field like all little boys playing. His father came home from a long trip while Woo Sing was not home, with a mirror. Woo had never seen a mirror in his life. This mirror was hung in the main room, and when Woo came home, he did not know what it was. He thought his father had brought home a boy just like him. A friend?

The thought made him happy as he took steps towards this other boy before him. Woo spoke to this boy but the boy did not answer. He smiled and waved and the boy did the same.

Woo stopped, deep in thought, does this boy not hear? Maybe, I should go closer. As Woo walked towards this boy, the strange boy walked towards him, mimicking his every move.

Woo Sing was livid with anger, “This boy mocks me; he does everything that I do.” The more Woo thought about this strange boy, the more irritated he became. He was so enraged that he took a long stride towards the boy and struck him, the boy in the mirror, ouch, Woo felt a searing pain and watched in shock as the boy in the mirror crumbled in pieces all over the floor. He ran to his father crying.

His father said to him, “The boy you saw was your own image.” This should teach you an important lesson, my son. Do not lose your temper with other people. What you see in them is in you! You struck the boy in the glass and hurt only yourself. And broke my mirror!

The moral of this story is that “In life when you strike without cause you will hurt yourself most of all”

2 Corinthians 13 asked us to5-9 Test yourselves to make sure you are solid in the faith. Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Give yourselves regular checkups. You need firsthand evidence, not mere hearsay, that Jesus Christ is in you. Test it out. If you fail the test, do something about it. I hope the test won’t show that we have failed. But if it comes to that, we’d rather the test showed our failure than yours. We’re rooting for the truth to win out in you. We couldn’t possibly do otherwise.

We don’t just put up with our limitations; we celebrate them, and then go on to celebrate every strength, every triumph of the truth in you. We pray hard that it will all come together in your lives.

10 I’m writing this to you now so that when I come I won’t have to say another word on the subject. The authority the Master gave me is for putting people together, not taking them apart. I want to get on with it, and not have to spend time on reprimands.

Just own up! Own up to your mistakes, your assumptions, and miscalculations! Own up to the fact that you do fall into errors like everyone else! Come off your high horse, my friend!

You reveal so much about your character, who you are in your core by the way you treat others, especially those you think are beneath your social class or are disadvantaged. Repent!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Caution Against Error!

advocate1Luke 11:33 “No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. 34 Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy, your body also is full of darkness. 35 See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness. 36 Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”

2 Peter 1: 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

2 Peter 3:17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position.18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

1 Corinthians 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord’s table and the table of demons.

Judgement Upon The Wicked

Let the wicked forsake their evil ways The Word says in Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Proverbs 11:21 Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free.

The Church of God stated in The Destiny of The Wicked thus:

Degrees of Punishment

“”The Bible also teaches that there will be degrees of punishment. Paul says that in the day of judgment God will “render to every man according to his deeds” (Rom. 2:6). Men become doubly responsible by the light which they receive. Jesus says, “If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin” (John 15:22). “That sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful” (Rom. 7:13). Christ said to Pilate, “He that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin” (John 19:11).

Since our sins are estimated in accordance with the light received, our punishment also will be regulated accordingly. For this reason Peter says concerning backsliders, “It had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment” (II Pet. 2:21). “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.… Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God?” (Heb. 10:26, 29). The greater the light and knowledge possessed, the greater the responsibility. (See Matt. 11:20-24; 23:14.)

From the foregoing texts we see that men will be rewarded “according to their works,” that some will receive a “sorer punishment” and “greater damnation” than others, and that it will be “more tolerable” for some people than it will be for others. But all these degrees will be in accordance with the light received and rejected.””

Think of if friends, is it really worth it? A pot of porridge for your glorious destiny like Esau? Thirst and demand for adulation of Haman brought him humiliation and death.  Will you quit striving with your maker and yield your heart in obedience wholeheartedly unto the Lord?

Forsake your evil ways, purge wickedness from within you and seek the Lord while He may be found. Isaiah 55:1 “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Salvation, genuine repentance is freely given to you today. At no cost to you friends, think about this. for wickedness cost you your life eternity unending. Think about this and repent today.

Jesus loves you!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Truth In Love!

Guide us Oh Lord Our God into the Truth of thy Words by your Holy Spirit, that we might be able to depart from the errors of Our Ways in Christ Jesus Mighty Name. Amen

It is so ironic that as Christians, we are apt to point out others walking in errors while we live and breath in error. Mind you, every single one of Us brethren are prone to error due to our sin nature, however being born again exonerate us, yet we get tangled up in error.

Why is this so? Ignorance I believe is a factor here, for if we do not know better, we act and respond to stimulus as per our nature. Ego also is a factor for we might know  the right thing to do, but in order to seem tough, in control, in charge of the situation, we act contrary to the Word and Will of God to maintain the status quo which is unlike our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is all encompassing love, humility, peace, truth, justice, kindness, mercy and righteous.

Truth

Isaiah 32:5 The foolish person will no longer be called generous,
Nor the miser said to be bountiful;
For the foolish person will speak foolishness,
And his heart will work iniquity:
To practice ungodliness,
To utter error against the Lord,
To keep the hungry unsatisfied,
And he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.
Also the schemes of the schemer are evil;
He devises wicked plans
To destroy the poor with lying words,
Even when the needy speaks justice.
But a generous man devises generous things,
And by generosity he shall stand.

Dear Lord we pray, that we will be bold in Christ to speak the truth of the gospel of God in much conflict. That our exhortation will not come from error or uncleanness, nor full of deceit, but as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we will speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts. in Christ Jesus Mighty Name. Amen 1 Thessalonians 2:2-4
