Simply Faith! Exercise

Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road. Mark 10:48‭-‬52 NIV

Friends, there are many things, situations, circumstances, and sad to say, people that will discourage you from pursuing your greatest desire to see, to serve, speak, walk, to reproduce, to pioneer uniqueness, to become all that heaven has ordained for you. You do not have to let this situation and people dissuade you from crying all the more as blind Bartimaeus did.

You need to cry all the more, you know He is able, Jesus is able as settled in your heart, so go ahead and cry all the more! Don’t you ever lose hope, don’t let discouragement wear you out. Cry all the more unto the Lord and your faith shall heal you!

Share The Good News!

Brethren, there is a group, there is a kind, there are people, that you have been specifically designed to reach, to bring the gospel of Salvation to!

Go out there today, and be led by the Holy Spirit to speak about the saving grace in Christ Jesus!!!

Go! Make disciples of all nation! Tell the good news!!

Many are waiting to hear, for their hearts have been prepared!

“”So then [since they were unaware of these developments] those who were scattered because of the persecution that occurred in connection with [the stoning of] Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia and Cyprus and Antioch, without telling the message [of salvation through Christ] to anyone except Jews.

But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who came to Antioch and began speaking to the Greeks as well, proclaiming [to them] the good news about the Lord Jesus.

And the hand (the power and presence) of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord [for salvation, accepting and drawing near to Jesus as Messiah and Savior].

Staying On Faithland!

There was a priest named Zachariah, and his wife Elizabeth, is from the lineage of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the SIGHT of God, observing all the Lords’s commands and decrees blamelessly. BUT they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old. Luke 1:5-7.

What happened here? How can a couple with such a resume be fruitless? They were righteous in the sight of God and yet childless! Did God not say the fruit of the womb was a reward?

Psalms 127:3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offsprings a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Did God deliberately shut Elizabeth’s womb? Why would God withheld His reward till they were very old?

God had special plan for them. His reward was John, who is predestined to be the Lord’s forerunner.

Friends, please note that delay is not denial!. When you pray, and it seem your prayers are not been answered, be persistent and be filled with gratitude! Absolutely!! Gratitude because the Lord is making a special, one in a lifetime, custom made miracle just for you.

Whatever you have been asking the Lord for and it seems not forthcoming is going to show up if you keep believing and living the word!

Do not allow mockery of the wicked to discourage you.  I remember when I got married, a sister in law was unto me, pestering me, like you should do this and that. This was three months into living together. The intrusion made me to start worrying, until I was told she waited for eight years before she had her first child.

Why pester me then I thought? It’s a ploy by Satan to unsettle you with fear, doubt and the likes, thereby delaying the manifestation of the Lord’s promises! Reject the invite to worryland! Stay on faith lane!

Waiting period is a test of your faith, and loyalty to God. Zechariah continued serving the Lord regardless of his status. And in due time, the Lord gave him a miracle like no other, John the baptist.

Pray without ceasing – 1 Thessalonians 5:17, be expectant, and be prepared to take hold of your miracle.

Jesus is Lord!

King Saul Thought!!! Just A Thought!!

1 Samuel 18:Saul was very angry; this refrain displeased him greatly. “They have credited David with tens of thousands,” he thought, “but me with only thousands. What more can he get but the kingdom?” And from that time on Saul kept a close eye on David.

King Saul thought!!!! It was this seemingly insignificant ailment that became inimical to his destiny and that of his generation unborn. We must endeavor to watch our thoughts friends. We must not entertain evil in our hearts. For someone like me and many of you reading this, thoughts, deep thinking is like breathing, we think deeply about everything. We however, have to learn, by the help of the Holy Spirit to recognize those thoughts that is detrimental to our well being spiritually, emotionally and in all aspect.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

Envy-vs-JealousyEnvy, jealousy, fornication, adultery and all kinds of evil start from our thoughts, triggered by our senses, what we hear, see, touch, smell and taste. King Saul had no reason whatsoever to be envious or jealous of David. David was just a boy who killed just one giant, though a mighty one, yet King Saul could have taken it as a good thing, like, the Lord has raised up for me an helper, instead of been threatened. I wonder why a whole King could have felt the way Saul did? I mean, David was an inconsequential lad, from the poorest of the poorest, cause Eliab asked David who he put those few sheep with in the wilderness – 1 Samuel 17:28

Friends, just been you, developing yourself, doing what is needful, minding what has been committed into your hands, managing your lot as much as you can may bring unwarranted attack from places least expected. Those you expect to encourage you may end up as your greatest discouragement. I mean, when your teacher, professor ask you to drop out of school and threatens you, what greater discouragement? Remain hopeful though and trust God!

In an episode of the Highway To Heaven Series I saw not too long ago, about two wannabes boxers, one of them belong to a gang called Satan’s Helper’s or something of such. The other young man is a home boy been raised by his granddad. This young man put all his mind to training, putting himself in a place of readiness, while this other guy, the leader of the Satan’s cult was busy gallivanting round the town, and terrorizing the people. Yet, he wants to win, and what other way does he employ than to threaten this home boy that if he fights, then his granddad will be killed.

The Satan’s Helper’s went ahead and kidnapped granddad. This young man who has prepared all this while was dejected, he stayed in the ring taking the punches, knowing if he so much as raise his hands, his granddad will be killed or his legs broken. He was not aware that an angel was in their midst orchestrating and making sure he gets what he deserves. The Masked Rider and the towns people were rallied up to save the granddad. Just in the nick of time, in the last round, here comes the granddad into the arena. Curious? See it for yourself!

Friends, do yourself a favor, be watchful of your thoughts. Be sensitive in your spirit and make sure you bring every impure thoughts into the light of God’s word and ask for forgiveness. Every evil action taken start from our thought. Let us endeavor to win all battles in our minds and heart. Let love rule!!!!!

Do Not Be A Shish Kebab! Be Rooted!

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. The thief can only steal when the owner is not there, unaware, distracted, asleep, and in any form of “cocoon” that makes one not consciously present.

The enemy subtly will work at separating believers from the presence of God in order to make a “shish kebab” of us. Mark 3:27 In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house.  The enemy will always try in his cunningness to distract you by offence, pain, hurt, inconsistency in your faith work, lack of prayer, over sensitivity to what is said or not said about you, rumors, lies,  and all sort.

The culmination of all ills will be separating you from the source of your well being. Everything that keeps you grounded and stable will be touched by the wicked to somehow afflict your desire to praise God knowing fully that Our God inhabits the praises of His people. When distraction comes please note that the wicked is at the door looking for an opportune time to strike.

Some have fallen by the hands of the agent of darkness, driven from the place of protection by false accusation, gossips and the likes. Some have been led away by the deceitfulness of sin. Many distracted by worldly desires, seeking after transient satisfaction thereby giving room for the seed of wickedness to grow in their abode.

The whole purpose of any attack is to somehow separate, isolate and hurt – very fertile ground for the enemy to kill steal and destroy.  The Lord Jesus however came that you might have life, vibrant life in the midst of the chaos around. Abide in me, the Lord said in John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. 

Be careful then friends, watch and pray for the times are evil. Anything that takes your eyes of God is of the devil, anyone that discourages you from focusing on your maker is agent of the wicked. Be on guard, examine yourself, are you still in the faith or have you drifted into falsehood?  Do not grieve the Holy Spirit, do not become a “shish kebab”!
