Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!! No doubt 2020 came with different kinds of unexpected issues and occurrences, yet we all triumphed and are better for it!

We learnt valuable lessons and are appreciative of the “simple things of life”, for we seem to have found out that those simple things are really the important things in life.

Well, this new year will be somehow different in that we have learnt a new way of being. We will all be just fine!

I am going to practice gratitude in all and every situation believing that God is Sovereign and will send just what He knows I can handle my way – 1 Corinthians 10:13. That is His promise! I believe it! So should you!

My expectation shall not be cut off this much I know! – Proverbs 23:18

Therefore, this new year, I will be looking out for a new kind of glory, honor, favor, joy, peace, contentment, advancement, increase, restoration, victory, goodness, mercy, and much more of all that pertains to life and godliness every waking hour!

Surely God’s goodness and love will follow me and you all the days of our life, and WE will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalms 23:6

Practice gratitude more!

A Way To Live!

It has been a challenge to declutter my mind lately! Many times I am not even aware that I have junks all over the place! It only surfaces when the sanitation inspector in the person of the Holy Spirit walks through my mind and heart.

I wonder if my mind is different from my heart! Can someone explain please, cos lately my heart seems to be playing tricks on my mind! Hmm! That’s food for thought! Will come back to that sometime!

I found out that a lot of stuff that I thought I threw out a long time ago were sitting on the chest covered by dust. Alas, having been preoccupied gave me a sense of wellness until the dust was lifted!

Okay, what am I saying here? A while back someone threatened what was dear to my heart. Overtime, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I healed and moved on thinking all was and is well.

At a point it seem what transpired never did. You know when there’s an open sore, it’s painful and leaves a scar right. When it’s totally healed the scar would still remain as a reminder of the sore and it’s circumstances. The scar miraculously disappeared I believed for the longest time! Until..

Until I saw similar circumstances center stage before my eyes. The dust rapidly lifted revealing the old wound and kazoom, the old scar appeared!

I revisited the scene and dwelt there until it dawn on me! Is it really worth It? Especially when the circumstances is unchanged? Should I let the inconsiderate action of another steal my joy? The words of Paul in the book of Philippians reflects an attitude, a way of life that will, regardless of the restrictions placed on our liberty, keep our joy intact. To borrow from Chuck Swindoll’s Laugh Again : What A Way To Live!

Maintain your joy by weighing the importance of what is, with regard to your core, your purpose, and goal. Is it really worth your trouble?

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Relationship On My Mind: Reproach!

Have you prayed consistently and it seem your prayer was and is not being answered? Have you ever suffered reproach of any kind? Rejected and abandoned? Or in a union but unloved by your spouse?

Has life served you a curve ball? Whatever you have experienced in life is a tool to get your attention, to get you to where you ought to be, do what you are made to do, be who you are created to be, still be in the faith, living a life worthy of your calling!

There is a situation really worst than been single, divorced, separated! That is to be in a loveless marriage, masking it, living a make believe life, constantly striving, going in circles!

For all going through this, may the love of Christ give you perspective! May you find meaning in your situation. May you not be tempted beyond what you can take!

Please note that regardless of the curve balls life throws, your mistakes and shortcomings, your destiny is unchanged, you will fulfill purpose! Repent and do not let the Lord down! Live intentionally for His glory!

Please listen to R T Kendall and be blessed!

Just Imagine!!! Hmm!!!

When there is unity, unity of purpose, we often see the manifestation of the power of God. What we have been experiencing lately in the family and the Kingdom is individuality, personal marketing, and self promotion as it is in the World. The very fabric of our society is riddled with greed and self centered-ness.

Friends, stop right there!! Just imagine! Imagine we all, the different parts of the Lord’s body, coming together as one!! Yes, as ONE! What a miracle for the World to see.

2 Chronicles 5:13 The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the Lord and sang: “He is good; his love endures forever.” Then the temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud, 14 and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the temple of God.

What a beauty!!! The breakthroughs, promotion, increase, expansion, fruitfulness of our bodies, healing, deliverance, and so much more that we need, want, and desire will be birthed in the place of praise unto our God in one accord, unity of purpose in spirit and in truth.

If only we will let go of the pretense and come together genuinely to praise Him who inhabit the praises of His peoplePsalms 22:3.

Finishing Well!

King Saul, chosen by God, ordained as the first King of Israel, disobeyed God and fell out of grace. He preserved Agag the Amalekite God asked him to kill, he listened to the voice of the people around him more than the voice of God –1 Samuel 15.

finishKing Saul consulted a medium 1 Samuel 28:7. He went to the Witch of Endor to inquire and ended up having his last meal at her house – verse 23 He refused and said, “I will not eat.”But his men joined the woman in urging him, and he listened to them. He got up from the ground and sat on the couch. How the mighty has fallen. This was the same Saul who banished witches from the land. At the end of his life he sought one out.

finishing wellFriends, may we end well in this race. May we not fail, may we not fall. Oh Lord God, may your chosen one not end up like King Saul. May we not end our life like Ahab – 1 King 22 and Jezebel – 2 Kings 9:30-37. May we not die with our enemies like Samson – Judges 19:23-31. May we not pierce our soul with the reward of betrayal like Judas – Matthew 27: and Acts 1:18. Oh Lord may we not be like Ananias and Sapphira who died for lying against the Holy Spirit in Acts 5. May we never leave your presence Oh Lord!!

Oh Lord, Psalms 19:12

But who can discern their own errors?
    Forgive my hidden faults.
13 Keep your servant also from willful sins;
may they not rule over me.
Then I will be blameless,
    innocent of great transgression.

14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
    be pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Have mercy on us Oh Lord. Cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Forgive us of all errors and help us to retrace our steps. Let the light of your countenance overshadow us always. May every darkness in and around us receive the light of your presence. May our eyes be enlightened Oh Lord that we may see and behold wondrous things in your word.

Be magnified Oh Lord our God in Jesus Christ mighty name we pray.

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Purpose For Being!

I am loved, imperfection and all

Loved by my maker, the Most High God

If loving Him back is my only achievement in life

I would be content

My only prayer is that God’s love would reflect through me

That another may see Christ in Me, the hope of glory

That I may impact many a soul for my Saviors kingdom

So that when I finally behold His face

I will not be ashamed for failing to impact lives as He created me too.

Oh!

Those He sent me through and to

My Father and Mother

My brothers and sisters

Husbands and children

Aunties and uncles

Nieces and nephews

Friends and neighbors

Bosses and coworkers

Lovers and haters

Acquaintances, and much more

All those far and near, predestined and planned

Chosen in advance to be touched

Reached through me

Dear Lord, please forgive my lackadaisical

Infuse my being with fervor

Ignite my spirit man

Strengthen me from within

That I may soar on wings like eagles

That I may run and not be weary

Walk and not faint

Until your will, your great pleasure

Is fulfilled in Me

Amen!

State of Our World

The state of our society is so appalling. These boys probably are from religious homes – Christian and Muslim. What an irony?. They are the sort that grows up to be husbands, fathers, politicians, bosses, lecturers, bus conductors, “Alfas”, “Pastors” etc that molest women, myopic in thier understanding of what doing unto others what you want done to you – good morals and mannerism is all about.

Our society needs overhauling! We need spiritual enlightenment, we need practicality of what it means to be good – not hurting another in any way!

Justice for the Obalende Sexually Assaulted Girls

 www.change org
Please sign the petition!!!!

Few years from now, these young girls will be wives, mothers etc burdened by these experiences. Scarred for life at such a tender age! Those raped may never get out of it with damaged idea of thier worth. Their self esteem damaged by these hooligans! And may end up as wives to such as these young men!

There are so many women, married, single, divorced and inbetween with scarred heart, girls trapped in women, crying out for healing and a change to how the girl child is been treated in our world.

Which way forward brethren?

We as parent, grandparent, uncles and aunties guardians, teachers, Pastors and Alfaa – Muslim Cleric should teach our wards respect.

Respecting one another and treating each other how we want to be treated. We must begin to be an example, living transparent and authentic moral lives before our wards. These generation are smart and sees through any double standard we try to project.

We must go back to the basics now! And for those of us in diaspora saying only in Naija can such happen. Look closely!! It is happening in our campuses, high school parties etc. Young men drugging and forcing themselves unto incapacitated girls.

The wicked is really using this act “”sex”” beautiful as intended by God to enslave uncultured souls.

Sound the alarm and may all ears hear! The world is decaying! Only faith in Christ, living by faith and witnessing to others about Jesus Christ can stop the inevitable total and spiral decadence!

Jesus still saves! He loves you! Be born again!!

Relationship -Trust- Collaboration!

Numbers 10:29 Now Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses’ father-in-law, “We are setting out for the place about which the Lord said, ‘I will give it to you.’ Come with us and we will treat you well, for the Lord has promised good things to Israel.” 30 He answered, “No, I will not go; I am going back to my own land and my own people.” 31 But Moses said, “Please do not leave us. You know where we should camp in the wilderness, and you can be our eyes. 32 If you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the Lord gives us.”

trustMoses asked his brother in law to go with him- Israel to possess their possession. Hobab said no, but Moses refused to take no for an answer. He begged Hobab. Moses who speaks with God face to face asking an heathen to come with Israel to the promised land. He asked Hobab to be his eyes along the path to fulfilling destiny! How can this be? With the pillar of cloud and all the wonderful signs and wonders God is showing him, how could he say that! Pastor Moses what do you mean?

He knows by the help of the Holy Spirit that God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. Moses remembered Jethro’s wise counsel and what great gain it brought to him and Israel by reducing burnout and unnecessary frictions.

In the wilderness, Jethro paid Moses a visit and witness the stress and commotion around the camp I must say for he spoke thus to Moses in Exodus 18:17 Moses’ father-in-law replied, “What you are doing is not good. 18 You and these people who come to you will only wear yourselves out. The work is too heavy for you; you cannot handle it alone. 19 Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people’s representative before God and bring their disputes to him. 20 Teach them his decrees and instructions, and show them the way they are to live and how they are to behave. 21 But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. 22 Have them serve as judges for the people at all times, but have them bring every difficult case to you; the simple cases they can decide themselves. That will make your load lighter, because they will share it with you. 23 If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to stand the strain, and all these people will go home satisfied.” 24 Moses listened to his father-in-law and did everything he said.

In the fulfillment of destiny thus, having an allies such as Hobab with the knowledge of the terrain will be a great advantage to Moses and Israel and as such Moses did not relent in convincing Hobab to go with him. Moses sure knows how to get Hobab unboard. Verse 32 of Numbers Moses said to Hobab, “if you come with us, we will share with you whatever good things the Lord gives us. This speaks volume about the kind of man and leader Moses was. He was humble enough to learn from Jethro and wise enough to know Hobab as a companion on this journey is great gain. Israel having been in bondage for so long have lost touch with the reality of the world outside and Hobab being a free man all this while travelling far and wide will be a good guide and instructor, an eye for Israel.

There are treasures abounding in the earthen vessels all around you. Everyone has something to bring to the table. We all have a part to play in every and any relationship. Ask for grace to see and wisdom to be able to tap the resources bestowed upon all your relationships from the past, present, intimate, casual, important and seemingly unimportant. There is a lesson to learn from every single interaction. Everything works for your good!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Cloud – Clarity!

Numbers 10:11 On the twentieth day of the second month of the second year, the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle of the covenant law. 12 Then the Israelites set out from the Desert of Sinai and traveled from place to place until the cloud came to rest in the Desert of Paran. 13 They set out, this first time, at the Lord’s command through Moses.

May every cloud covering your sight, hindering you from seeing clearly be lifted in Jesus name. May the light of God shine through every cloud to make your path clearer in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen! Every fog of the mind dissipate in Jesus name. No more confusion!!!
