There’s Good In It!

There is a time for everything under the sun. In joy, and in sadness, in trials and peace, in plenty and in lack, friends, there are lessons to be learnt.

Are you listening to what the spirit is saying to you this moment of calmness and ease? Please listen and do the Lord’s bidding.

Desire the sincere milk/meat of the word, dwell in it and you will receive sight even for the journey ahead!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Foundation! Living Right-Old Age!

Psalms 92:12  The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 13 planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God.14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green,15 proclaiming, “The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”

Isaiah 46:4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

1 Chronicles 29:28 “He died at a good old age, having enjoyed long life, wealth and honor. His son Solomon succeeded him as king.” This is referring to David. The Lord promised His anointed long life as many verses of the scripture states.

I have, in the nature of my work met with tonnes of people, from different demography. The group of people that have made the greatest impression on me are the Seniors/aged. I met a 90 years old young man today. Yes! You heard right. This gentleman walked towards me with a smile and we clicked right there. In the brevity of time spent I learnt, I mean, what I already knew was reiterated and it struck a chord with me.

You see friends, God, many time over in the scriptures promised us long life. I doubt if we even believe this with all our hearts. We pray for it, especially the female species, but do we really believe it is ours for the taking? Believing this will enable us to live circumspectly.

Well, what I learnt from this gentle man and another 83 years old lady was to avoid been around negative and toxic individuals for they seem to be able to suck life out of every situation, live simply, have a positive attitude seeing good in every situation, smile more often, and please do not forget the God factor. Like the gentleman said, putting a smile on your face is already been on a right track. Be kind to everyone along your path. Live a happy life on purpose, have a sense of humor – laugh at yourself, stop looking in your rear view! Face forward with optimism.

God I believe is aligning us to his purpose this season. The platform/foundation the Lord has given us – our salvation, what are we building on it? Are you living right? Do you let every wind knock you down? Your mistakes, if ever there was any such, considering that God works in us. Let leave this for another day! Are you content and satisfied where you are at this scene of your walk of faith? How healthy would you want to be at, say, 70 years, 80, and 90? What are you building on your foundation? Reexamine your ways and make necessary correction. It is not late, this is the appointed hour.

Luke 6: 43 46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

Obey the Lord! Love others as yourself, keeping your garment unstained by acts of wickedness. Let go of negativity, begin to see differently and begin to radiate God’s glory. Teach us to number our days Oh Lord that we might gain a heart of wisdom – Psalms 90:12.

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Transformed!! What Now?

What next? What are you going to do now that you have been empowered? What am I going to do? Should we continue on the same old path?

We have been transformed!! There should be a change, a sprint to our gait, brightness on our faces and colors in our eyes. What do you see friends? A beautiful life lived to the glory of God? Colorful future and a glorious destiny?

Hope for a great today? Yes today, right now! Does it matter? The mess? Yes! Can you see it changing, even right now as you are reading this. Look around, things have changed. Okay, Close your eyes and envision your desired result according to scriptures. Speak forth, let heaven hear and earth obey.

You can friends!

You have what it takes to be a change agent starting with you and yours. You have the mind of Christ and the power of resurrection is already at work in you.

The Spirit of God lives in you! Seize your kairos moment, don’t settle for less. Step into your destiny, make your Father in heaven proud of you to the shame of the devil.

This is who you are meant to be, you were uniquely created, endowed, and molded by life to be here right now. Make the best of it!

Greatness Predestined! Will You Nurture It?

All things are possible with faith!
All things are possible with faith!

Just a thought,  it crossed my mind in the shower this morning. Just thinking about preordination, predestined, God’s plan and purpose in the affairs of mankind. Do we really have a choice, a say? Is it fair considering the limited knowledge we have of the agenda of heaven? Read Genesis 38: 1-30

Judah, the fourth born of an unloved woman, had two sons. His first born son Er got married but was wicked in God’s eyes, so the Lord put him to death without a child to carry on his name. Then came along Onan, Judah’s second son, to raise up offspring for Er, his late brother. Onan, however was self-centered and spilled his semen on the ground to avoid providing his brother an offspring according to the tradition. This was wicked in God’s eyes and so he too was put to death. God has great plans, however He will not hesitate punishing every and any act of unrepentant wickedness.  Repent of every disobedience or you will be erased from the agenda of heaven. The Most High God is Supreme!

The third child Shelah was but a child and Judah afraid of losing all three kids sent this woman back to her fathers house. Tamar, twice a widow, had lost the husband of her youth, her first love, and her brother-in-law redeemer to death. Just picture her in this present time, imagine the horror and torture of soul and all the snickering looks and small talk here and there in her community. Tamar in her widow robe, alone and lonely, condemned to die an unfulfilled life. She must have been horrified and desperate to take the route she took to ensure her life counts – just a child to love Lord she must have prayed with tears and agony of soul.

She took matters in her hands, when she heard that her mother in law had died and her father in law had been grieving. Judah is alone now but for the young teenager Shelah, who by now could father a child but for the fear of losing everything was shielded. Judah sought out presumably an harlot to satisfy his flesh, but God used that single contact of an old man to produce twin sons, that two young men could not provide in their lifetime. How can? What happened here?

God had ordained that out of Judah, meaning “This time I will praise the Lord”, his son, the savior, Jesus Christ would come to the world. His eldest two sons were wicked, God already ordained it and made sure every situation and circumstance led to the birth of Perez and Zerah. In the account of this birth, Zerah wanted to come out first with his hand out of the birth carnal, however Perez beat him to it, he couldn’t have come out with his hands.

Perez is in the lineage of the Messiah, so is Rahab – the harlot,Ruth – widow , Bathsheba – adulterer. These are all  women who have got stories to tell, I know they would not have chosen this route but it was thrust on them by life and they made the best of it. Can you imagine Rahab, having received the spies in her brothel in Jericho saying the Lord had given Jericho to the hands of Israel Joshua 2:1-21. Hebrew 11:31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient. How could a prostitute in active duty be referred to as having faith? I am baffled!

Why these emphasis? I want you to know that everything has a purpose, there is a reason for all that is going on around you as a true child of God. Life sometime could be like a puzzle with missing pieces here and there, ‘cos if God should show us step by step into our future, we most likely will be discouraged and opt out of the purpose for which we are created.

If Joseph had known he would be sold into slavery, wrongly accused and imprisoned before the sun, the moon and eleven stars bow down to him, do you think he will willingly take the supplies to his brothers? Capital no! I wouldn’t, neither will most. That is why God only shows us enough of the future just to keep us going. Only total trust, hope and faith in the Sovereignty of God and his loving kindness can sustain us when bombarded with the tests of life.

Put your trust in God. He knows your beginning, your past, where you are presently, your desired destination and yet He has a part in His agenda, a plan and a purpose for you to fulfill. Seek His face for direction, he will show you the next step, he will guide you with the light of his word. Trust thou in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. Commit your ways unto the Lord and He will grant you the desires of your heart. Jesus is Lord!
