Life’s Test: Pain, Loss, Heartaches

When a man suffers misfortune, and loss, that is when you really know who your friends truly are. And how Christianly many speaks but do not act! Many will say very unkind words to you, treat you unkindly, gather others around them to speak more evil of you. And spread untruth about your situation!

Salt will be added to your injuries. This is the experience of brother Job, and many brothers and sisters even today.

Job 16:19 Even now my witness is in heaven; my advocate is on high. 20 My intercessor is my friend as my eyes pour out tears to God;

“The very same God that spins things in orbit
Runs to the weary, the wern and the weak
And the same gentle hands that hold me when I’m broken
They conquered death to bring me victory”

Test will come in life. Our faith, love and hope in the Lord will be tested! This is a guarantee, however my prayer for you is that you will not sin against God in your speech. Don’t lose faith!

Brother Job knew he was blameless, he could not understand why what happened to him happened, yet he had hope in God. But his friends? They were a whole lot different from what he expected. No word of encouragement or comfort but accusations.

This here sounds more like Job thinking, trying to justify what is happening to him, finding no cause, and must have blurted out Job 16:17 yet my hands have been free of violence and my prayer is pure. I mean Lord! You know me! Why all these?

Brothers and sisters suffering any kind of loss, heartaches, or contrariness of life. Please note that God is Sovereign, He knows what you are going through and He will give you respite.

I pray God’s strength be made manifest in your weakness. May His love envelope you. May the light of His countenance warm your heart. God is God on the mountain, as He is God on the valley, hills, plains, and rough places. He is Sovereign! And He cares for you!

Be comforted friends as brother Job was and said in Job 16:19 Even now your witness is in heaven; your advocate is on high. 20 your intercessor is your friend as you pour out your fears, heartaches and tears to God.

Shalom!

Waiting On Grace!

Just wondering how torturous it must have been for Jacob to wait for that seven years for Rachel, the love of his life without breaking rules and sinning against God! Genesis 29:15-30

Honestly, waiting and trusting God for the fulfillment of His promises requires an extraordinary level of grace and discipline that only His love and mercy can work in and through us.

May the Lord strengthen you and I with might by His spirit in our inner man so that Christ may dwell richly in our hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:16

Hold on friends, the vision is for an appointed time, wait for it, for it shall surely come to fulfillment.

I say again, wait for it!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

He Is Longing For Thee!

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call on Him [for salvation] while He is near.

“It shall also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.
ISAIAH 65:24 AMP

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’
JEREMIAH 33:3 AMP

~‘Behold, [in the restored Jerusalem] I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them an abundance of peace (prosperity, security, stability) and truth. ~‘I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel and will rebuild them as they were at first. ~‘I will cleanse them from all their wickedness (guilt) by which they have sinned against Me, and I will pardon (forgive) all their sins by which they rebelled against Me. ~‘Jerusalem will be to Me a name of joy, praise and glory before all the nations of the earth which will hear of all the good that I do for it, and they shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the peace (prosperity, security, stability) that I provide for it.’

Disaster Strikes, Difficulty, Pain And Loss Ensue! Yet God Is In The Midst?Yes!!!

Reading Ezekiel 35 and 36 a couple of days ago revealed to me that when disaster strikes, difficulty, pain and loss ensue, it does not negate the fact that the Almighty God is not aware or absent from the equation- Ezekiel 35:10.

Just to weighing in on the “fracas” finger pointing, accusations, condemnation and all sort following the painful disaster as a result of hurricane Harvey. The expectations of many were left unfulfilled. Many that ought to respond immediately to comfort and help did not and emotions went haywire.

Things happened unexpectedly sometimes and it reveals the difference between what we say and what we do. No one is immune to error, and each and everyone will bear the brunt of their errors. However, we need to be careful not to get to the point of sinning against God in the process of highlighting those errors. There is a fine line, thread carefully!

Friends, be very careful of who you make jest of. Be cautious when you treat another with disdain. Restrain yourself from looking at someone going through difficulty and laughing them to scorn. You may be inviting the wrath of God upon yourself and all that is yours.

Ezekiel 35:5  “‘Because you harbored an ancient hostility and delivered the Israelites over to the sword at the time of their calamity, the time their punishment reached its climax, therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord,…………Then you will know that I am the Lord10 “‘Because you have said, “These two nations and countries will be ours and we will take possession of them,” even though I the Lord was there,11 therefore as surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will treat you in accordance with the anger and jealousy you showed in your hatred of them and I will make myself known among them when I judge you. 12 Then you will know that I the Lord have heard all the contemptible things you have said against the mountains of Israel. You said, “They have been laid waste and have been given over to us to devour.” 13 You boasted against me and spoke against me without restraint, and I heard it. …….15 Because you rejoiced when the inheritance of Israel became desolate, that is how I will treat you. ……. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’”

All you brethren in the habit of taking advantage of those in one predicament or another, heed this warning. These may be serving their punishment now, and it does not give you the right to poke fun at them. Remember David and Shimel in 2 Samuel 16;5-13. Don’t bring wrath of God upon your own heads. Pastors jubilation over the failure of another Pastor, Christians of one denomination laughing at another denominations pitfall take heed!! Sisters and brothers, take heed lest the Lord turns against you!!!

Ezekiel 36:1  “Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, ‘Mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The enemy said of you, “Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession.”’ Therefore prophesy and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because they ravaged and crushed you from every side so that you became the possession of the rest of the nations and the object of people’s malicious talk and slander, therefore, mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Sovereign Lord: This is what the Sovereign Lord says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys, to the desolate ruins and the deserted towns that have been plundered and ridiculed by the rest of the nations around you— ……..“‘But you, mountains of Israel, will produce branches and fruit for my people Israel, for they will soon come home. I am concerned for you and will look on you with favor; you will be plowed and sown, 10 and I will cause many people to live on you—yes, all of Israel. The towns will be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt. 11 I will increase the number of people and animals living on you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the past and will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the Lord. 12 I will cause people, my people Israel, to live on you. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance;

Lord Almighty, you are a merciful God, showing mercy upon who you will show mercy. Lord be merciful to your people in Houston and her surrounding. Heal every broken heart, every heart questioning you because of the devastation of this “harvey” disaster. On behalf of myself and my friends, Lord I ask for mercy! Father, forgive us of all sins in Jesus name. Cleanse us all of unrighteousness in our thoughts, words, actions, and inaction, in what we have done, and what we have failed to do. Redirect our hearts to trust you even in the midst of pain and heartbreak and help us to love you and love others as our-self in Christ Jesus mighty name. Amen

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Trusting God!

Where would I be without the saving grace of the Most High? Had not our trust be in the Lord, what will the righteous say? No one by his own knowledge, power and anointing can save himself, no one can shield himself from the fiery darts of the wicked but for the Lord, for His mercy endures for ever.

I-trust-God-with-my-lifePsalms 31:19 How abundant are the good things
    that you have stored up for those who fear you,
that you bestow in the sight of all,
    on those who take refuge in you.
20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them
    from all human intrigues;
you keep them safe in your dwelling
    from accusing tongues.

21 Praise be to the Lord,
    for he showed me the wonders of his love
    when I was in a city under siege.
22 In my alarm I said,
    “I am cut off from your sight!”
Yet you heard my cry for mercy
    when I called to you for help.

23 Love the Lord, all his faithful people!
    The Lord preserves those who are true to him,
    but the proud he pays back in full.
24 Be strong and take heart,
    all you who hope in the Lord.

The Lord is kind and merciful to all those who put their trust in Him. The Lord Our God is the Ancient of Days, the Bright Morning Star, the All Sufficient God, the Immortal, Invicible, and Only Wise God. If it had not been for this Magnificent God, where will you be? Where will I be?

And you out there still dilly dallying about making a decision to follow the Lord, I want you to know this moment you are doing yourself a disfavour. Why would you not choose life? Every soul is designed to live eternally, the question is where do you want to spend yours? Heaven or Hell? I bet you’ve seen enough hell in this world, all around is chaos, man’s inhumanity to man abound, minds been taken over by evil permeate every spheres of life. Why would you not choose to be on the Lord’s side? Come to Jesus Christ today! Confess and repent of your sins, acknowledge Jesus as the Son of the Almighty God who has given His life for yours to redeem your soul and reconcile you to your maker. Invite the Lord into your life today, speak to Jesus right now for He is listening. Jesus loves you!

Psalms 84:10 Better is one day in your courts
    than a thousand elsewhere;
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
    than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
    the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
    from those whose walk is blameless.

12 Lord Almighty,
    blessed is the one who trusts in you.
