Relationship On My Mind! Unequally Yoked!

The Lord knew what effect and damage unequal yoke, alliance with those who do not know, love, and or submit to Christ can and will do to His Children. Apart from the strain of paddling in opposite direction in the same boat, it jeopardizes us as redeemed of the Lord from maintaining fire on the altar. It is a dangerous thing to fall away friends! The pain will subside, the wound will heal by the mercies of God, however as stated in the Open Heavens of November 11, “wounds can heal, but the scars would remain”.

Every instruction in the word is for our good, however in the hardness of our hearts, ignorance, and in many instances due to error, and youthful exuberance – I call this the state where we believe we have “super powers”, believers fall away from God ordained pathway for relationships into outright disobedience.

Deuteronomy 7:Do not intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons, for they will turn your children away from following me to serve other gods, and the Lord’s anger will burn against you and will quickly destroy you.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?15 What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? 16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” 17 Therefore,“Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”18 And,“I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

Nehemiah 13:23 Moreover, in those days I saw men of Judah who had married women from Ashdod, Ammon and Moab. 24 Half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod or the language of one of the other peoples, and did not know how to speak the language of Judah. 25 I rebuked them and called curses down on them. I beat some of the men and pulled out their hair. I made them take an oath in God’s name and said: “You are not to give your daughters in marriage to their sons, nor are you to take their daughters in marriage for your sons or for yourselves. 26 Was it not because of marriages like these that Solomon king of Israel sinned? Among the many nations there was no king like him. He was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel, but even he was led into sin by foreign women.   27 Must we hear now that you too are doing all this terrible wickedness and are being unfaithful to our God by marrying foreign women?”28 One of the sons of Joiada son of Eliashib the high priest was son-in-law to Sanballat the Horonite. And I drove him away from me.

King Solomon, the wisest king who ever lived was led astray, away from God. This reveals to me that our choices is not based on how wise we are. Solomon loved the Lord and was zealous in his worship of his fathers’ God, yet the desires of his flesh, lust of the eyes led him away from the path of righteousness. At the end of his life, he was deluded, vanity upon vanity he wrote!

The mercies of God is available to us today by the blood of Jesus. The Lord will indeed restore us to him if we call upon him with a repentant heart. He will make all grace available to us to bear our crosses and follow him, salvaging what is left of who we are and transforming it into who we are meant to be.

Nehemiah beat some of the men and pulled out their hair after raining curses on them. There is no one to do that, I mean no one has to do that now, for the situation and circumstances are the things pulling our hairs today better than any Nehemiah could ever do! We must learn to obey God’s instruction!

Father Lord, thank you for your mercies. For bringing us out of bondage, giving us another chance time and time again to live in obedience to your will for us.

Father, we ask that you will heal every broken heart that have come to you in repentance. Restore us to you Lord in your mercy.

For those that are in the middle of the hurricane Lord, show them mercy, speak peace to them Lord for many are hurting and cannot see beyond their noses now.

In your mercy Lord, let the light of your countenance shine upon the dark places and show them a way back into your will we pray in Jesus mighty name. Amen

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Man, Woman, And Posterity!

Union between a man and a woman is the first institution ordained by God as stated in the account of creation- Genesis 1:27 For so God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 2:18 however is where I am going to for the Lord said “And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

God created woman to be a help mate, she was comparable to him, she was to be treated like an equal, a part of a man, but man since Adam had a “defect” if I may say, for man delegated the dominion mandate to love and care for All that God had placed before them to the woman. Man was not approachable in the Garden then, neither are they approachable even now. Man had always chosen the high road, centered on themselves, career, business, leisure and other interest, leaving the woman to dominate every spheres, raising and training children, homemaking and so on were relegated.  The one sphere man seem to have mastered and are excelling is in procreating, for man can sow as many seed as possible amongst very many fertile but not necessarily pure soil and can start fire in a bulrush in a twinkle.

So why have I included the accounts of these Kings below? This is to let the man know that the kind of life lived will determine their posterity. God did not bother so much about the sin of the woman like that of the man, for the man carries the seed of life in his loin. Jezebel was dealt with in that she died a gruesome death and dogs licked her blood, however Ahab’s lineage was cut off including his relatives, every single male. This is a warning!!!!!  I don’t think there is a red blooded man that do not want to leave an offspring to carry his seed generation unborn, be it female or male! A lot depend on the men folks, please take your rightful place so posterity can bless you! Repent today and seek the face of God, for God is not willing that any should perish but have everlasting life.

There is opportunity even today to make amends and seek God’s face for direction.

So therefor, Godly men reading this, God has called you and placed you in a home to be a “god” and not a “demon” or a “parasite” sucking life out of the very woman and offsprings you are called to care for and nurture to health and vitality! Neither should you be a weakling, subject to manipulation, ruled and controlled by the Jezebel of our time.

2 Chronicles 7: 13 When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

1 Kings 16:30 Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. 31 And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him. 32 Then he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. 33 And Ahab made a wooden image. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him. 1 Kings 21:2121 ‘Behold, I will bring calamity on you. I will take away your posterity, and will cut off from Ahab every male in Israel, both bond and free. 22 I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, because of the provocation with which you have provoked Me to anger, and made Israel sin.’ 23 And concerning Jezebel the Lord also spoke, saying, ‘The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.’ 24 The dogs shall eat whoever belongs to Ahab and dies in the city, and the birds of the air shall eat whoever dies in the field.”

2 Kings 21: 10 And the Lord spoke by His servants the prophets, saying, 11 “Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations (he has acted more wickedly than all the Amorites who were before him, and has also made Judah sin with his idols), 12 therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Behold, I am bringing such calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears will tingle. 13 And I will stretch over Jerusalem the measuring line of Samaria and the plummet of the house of Ahab; I will wipe Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down. 14 So I will forsake the remnant of My inheritance and deliver them into the hand of their enemies; and they shall become victims of plunder to all their enemies, 15 because they have done evil in My sight, and have provoked Me to anger since the day their fathers came out of Egypt, even to this day.’”

Lives get turned upside down by the sins of Fathers, therefor I am appealing to every Father out there, this also applies to everyone playing the role of a Father both spiritual and physical , adopted and foster. Let us endeavor to make a positive impact in the lives of those around us.

May posterity bless us all – male and female!

Shalom! Shalom!
