My First Love!

“” I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; ” and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not been weary. “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place – unless you repent.”” Revelations 2- 5

Dear Lord, do not remove my lampstand! Let me always be in your presence. Forgive me Lord of the errors of my ways! Do not cut me off with the wicked. Open my heart to love as at the beginning.

Let the light of your countenance seek me out and lead me back to my first love! You, Oh Lord, you are my hiding place, my refuge from the storm, my joy and hope, you are my first love Lord. It is in you that I live, breath and have my being. You are my all in all!
Friends, will you repent today of all your sins? The sins that easily beset us. May we not be deceived by the deceitfulness of sin. May all distraction be put into perspective so we may see the wiles of the wicked and wage war accordingly.

Oh Lord be merciful unto us and help us to do the first work, to love you whole heartedly and love our neighbors as ourself. Reconcile our confusion! Give us clarity!

Lord, we want to operate from a place of love always, help us! Our spirit is willing, but our flesh is weak! Give us your strength Lord Jesus.

You said your strength is made perfect in our weakness – 2 Corinthians 12:9, this Lord we believe, and are grateful. We take up your strength today, to do the needful, so the expected mayest manifest!

We will do the first work by your grace Lord! Thank you for giving us another chance! Be magnified Oh Lord!

Relationship – Cautiousness- Being Sensitive!

The children of Israel faced many challenges on their way to the promised land. They murmured, they rebelled and many fell in the wilderness. They were a difficult people to love! Nothing that was done was enough for these people, they almost made God change His mind about them being God’s special people – Exodus 32:10 Now leave me alone so that my anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them. Then I will make you into a great nation.” .

At a point in the desert of Zin Miriam died and of course they mourned for her and then ran out of water. Oh! How Israel forgot all the wonders, signs and miracles God had wrought in their midst. They complained and murmured as usual against Moses and Aaron blaming them for all the woes that have befallen them. Then ……

Numbers 20:6 Moses and Aaron went from the assembly to the entrance to the tent of meeting and fell face down, and the glory of the Lord appeared to them.⁷The Lord said to Moses,

The Lord saw the sorrow in the heart of Moses and Aaron and before they could utter a word in prayer God spoke to them just as He promised in Isaiah 65:24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. Well, you may be wondering why God did not provide solution to the water crisis in the camp according to Isaiah 65! Israel did not ask, they did not speak to God, they were instead murmuring and blaming Moses and Aaron just like you and I does. Instead of talking to God about our situation, asking Him for solution, we ask why we are in the situation we are in, why us we ask very often. Why not us?

However, what I want to point out is Moses and Aaron’s action. Remember before they spoke, the Lord answered them for their action spoke and the Lord saw their heart. Well, they had to “rob” it into the Israelite who got it wrong, whose action was contrary to the will of God. Moses and Aaron having been favored, in their obedience to the ways of God reacted untowardly to the Israelite, calling out their errors. In the process Moses struck the rock contrary to the commandment of God and this displeased God, causing both Moses and Aaron entering the promised land.

Friends, to whom much is given, much is expected! You have been forgiven much, favored much, for before you asked you received what others in much toiling and murmuring have not been able to receive. Don’t you think you should be gentle and empathetic? Do you have to call them out? Rob it in? Take a cue from Moses and Aaron and be careful with “Israel”, whatever Israel means to you. Do not forget to honor the Lord’s sacrifice for the life of His people. Every saint, every being is important to the Lord and as such we must be cautious how we represent our Savior Jesus Christ before them. Children comes to my mind here! Our children are watching us honoring God or not. Which will it be? Children here could be physical or spiritual – young ones, unbelievers, babes in the things of the Kingdom.

The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelite, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” – Numbers 20:12.

Father Lord Almighty, have mercy on us and forgive us of all unrighteousness. Please show us the errors of our ways and redirect us to your ways, the path of righteousness. Create a right spirit within us and rekindle your fire within. May we not be stripped of the glorious future you have ordained for us. May we not stumble naked through life. Clothe us Lord with your righteousness as with a garment that your glory may shine in and through us to the uttermost in Jesus Christ mighty name we pray. Amen

Obedience ! Key To Breakthroughs !

Obedience is better than sacrifice! When the Lord gives you an instruction friends, do yourself a favor, take action. Do what you have been asked to do regardless if it made sense or not. Your logic can never reason out the workings of The Spirit!!

God told David he will hear the sound of matching on a Mulberry tree 2 Samuel 5:24. Strange it sounds , impossible it seems, yet David listened for the sound, he heard, took action and the result was victory over the Philistines.

In Luke 5:4 When he had finished speaking , he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Simon a seasoned fisherman knows way too much about this trade. He has fished all night when it was most favourable to bring in a catch and caught nothing. Here is this carpenter, what does he know about fishing?

Let down your net my foot you and I have said many times to the Lord by our action. That can’t be Lord! You don’t understand what I have been through!! The prognosis/ diagnosis is pretty bad Lord! I have gone too far, how can can it be? How can I carry now at my age?He/She hurt me so bad, how can I forgive them, especially as they haven’t even apologized ! Oh! he’s/she’s not even sorry what they said, what they did! Forgive the Lord said!!! Let down the nets for a catch the Lord said!!

Do you get it friends? Has the Lord spoken to you about an issue you’ve been struggling with and you are explaining like the Man by the pool in Bethesda John 5:1-8. The Lord is saying to you today ” Pick up your mat and walk.” Listen and obey!!

Recipe To Prosper! Unwavering Obedience To God!

The recurring theme in the word of God is that there is consequence for all actions. Obedience brings prosperity and disobedience brings calamity. There are some inbetween that we cannot explain other than the act of God, like when Jesus disciples asked him about the man blind from birth, was it his mother that sinned or his father and Christ responded that neither but that the work of God may be made manifest.

John 9:1 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.²And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”³Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

2 Chronicles 31:4 Moreover he commanded the people who dwelt in Jerusalem to contribute support for the priests and the Levites, that they might devote themselves to the Law of the Lord. 5 As soon as the commandment was circulated, the children of Israel brought in abundance the first fruits of grain and wine, oil and honey, and of all the produce of the field; and they brought in abundantly the tithe of everything……Verse 10..“Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the Lord, we have had enough to eat and have plenty left, for the Lord has blessed His people; and what is left is this great abundance.”.…..16 ..Besides those males from three years old and up who were written in the genealogy, they distributed to everyone who entered the house of the Lord his daily portion for the work of his service, by his division,……18 and to all who were written in the genealogy—their little ones and their wives, their sons and daughters, the whole company of them—for in their faithfulness they sanctified themselves in holiness. Verse 20 Thus Hezekiah did throughout all Judah, and he did what was good and right and true before the Lord his God. ²¹And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, in the law and in the commandment, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart. So he prospered.

Friends, are you wholeheartedly serving God in Spirit and truth? Does it seem nothing is working for you and you are beginning to wonder why? Have you sought God’s face? You have promises and its taking too long you presume? Wait for it! Are you beginning to let doubt seep in? Don’t please, for the promise is for an appointed time, it will not tarry but come at the appointed time. Encourage yourself like David did. Praise and pray to God, who only can make all things beautiful. Do you know God is making out a miraculous wondrous wonder with your name on it? Yes you! God is working out those long standing issues of your life. You are for His glory, the totality of your being is for the glory of your Father in heaven.

Oh my friend, there is no happenstance with our God. He planned everything long ago, before the foundation of the earth was laid. God knew you before you were conceived, He has not forgotten you. Hold on still! The carrier of good news is at your door. Yes! Wait for it, can you hear the footsteps, can you smell the fragrance of His presence? Tune up your antenna friends, I hear the rain falling! Your seed will bud and you will have abundance of all that pertains to life and godliness, your barn shall be filled up. All the ditches you have made will be filled up. Can you feel the tiny seed in your womb, fluttering of butterfly? You are carrying and will bring to birth? Be encouraged friends, God is working things out for you. You will prosper in all division of your life.

Dearest, you can expect the above only if your trust is in the Lord Jesus. To expect without commitment is at best foolishness. You have to be aligned with heaven. Accept Jesus Christ into your life today. He loves you!

True Disciples Commended!!!! You And I?

God hears! — **Are You On The Right Path?**

Luke 9:23 Then he said to them: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it. 25 What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self. 26 Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the Holy angels.

What can God commend you and i for? Our material wealth and achievement in our spheres of endeavor? Our sincerity, love, faithfulness, kindness, loyalty, compassion, respect etc God and for each other? Do we love God? Yes we do! However, our brothers and sisters that are Christ image that we see daily are detested. We put down each other, spread malicious lies and sow seed of hatred in peoples mind against one another. Is this the cross we are called to carry daily? I guess not!.

Christ came because of love for mankind. He taught us to love the unlovable, live a selfless life, respect and honor each other. Christ became us so we can be Him. Are we true disciples of Jesus Christ here on earth? John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.

Each of us should examine ourselves and make amends now so we don’t miss the mark of the high calling of Jesus Christ and be thrown into the abyss with demons in the last day, the day of judgement.

Is our ego so high and our eyes so blinded that we cannot see Christ suffering, death and resurrection in our brothers and sisters?

This is to all of us born again tongue talking brethren. Let us be real for once and be true disciples of Jesus Christ in love, unity of purpose, truth and in spirit. For God is Love – no strings attached.
