Praising God In Difficult Situation!

Acts 16:25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”

inhabit praisePaul and Silas, having been stripped and beaten with rods, were severely flogged, and then thrown into prison, yet, they prayed and sang hymns unto God. How could they sing, I mean pray unto God who did not send a whirlwind to disperse their accuser? God left us to be humiliated, why should we sing hymns unto Him? This was not questions, not even a thought for these men. They were too far gone in their faith to consider such! “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; – Job 13:15 must have been the thought in their hearts.

last-breath praiseFriends, how often do we encounter discouragement in our walk and we lose heart. We suffer for our own mistakes and deprive God of quality worship. May we not be replaced! Regardless of what is going on within and without friends, let us endeavor to pray and worship God, for He deserves it. Do you know that your worship in difficult circumstances is a reflection of the depth of your trust in the Lord? You will make a better witness, and produce a finer testimony than when in fair weather.

john-4_23When you pray and praise God in any situation, God moves, He steps into the situation, for He inhabit the praises of His people – Psalms 22:3.

Lord God Almighty, we praise and worship your holy name. Holy Spirit, help us to pray, praise and worship God in spirit and in truth. May we live daily to worship you in obedience and in reverence in Jesus Christ mighty name. Amen

Heart Cry – God Hears!

Psalms 5

God hears!

God hears even the still small voice!

1 Listen to my words, Lord,
consider my lament.
2 Hear my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.
4 For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;
with you, evil people are not welcome.
5 The arrogant cannot stand
in your presence.
You hate all who do wrong;
6 you destroy those who tell lies.
The bloodthirsty and deceitful
you, Lord, detest.
7 But I, by your great love,
can come into your house;
in reverence I bow down
toward your holy temple.
8 Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness
because of my enemies—
make your way straight before me.
9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted;
their heart is filled with malice.
Their throat is an open grave;
with their tongues they tell lies.
10 Declare them guilty, O God!
Let their intrigues be their downfall.
Banish them for their many sins,
for they have rebelled against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad;
let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them,
that those who love your name may rejoice in you.
12 Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield.
