How Long More? Rise Up!

Mark 9:14 – 29 When they came to the other disciples, they saw a large crowd around them and the teachers of the law arguing with them. 15 As soon as all the people saw Jesus, they were overwhelmed with wonder and ran to greet him.

Jesus asked and responded as follows:

  • “What are you arguing with them about” he asked – verse 16
  • “You unbelieving generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy to me.” verse 19
  • “How long has he been like this?” – Verses 21
  • “‘If you can’?” Said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes,” – Verse 23
  • “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, ” I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” Verse 25

26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. 28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, ” Why couldn’t we drive it out?”

  • He replied, ” This kind can come out only by prayer.” Verse 29

Think about this friends:

How long have you been arguing with the issues of your life? You have been going back and forth, negotiating, compromising, and yet no solution in sight.

How long are you going to continue in this situation? How long are you willing to put up with the unbelief in your heart? The impossibility whispering in your ears! Why will you not take it to the Cross? Be determined to rise up!

Think about it! How long have you been like this? How long more are you willing to remain the same, going around in circle without remedy?

If you can conceive it in your heart, precipitated by love for God, love for others and love for yourself, it is attainable. Everything is possible for those that believe.

You then need to/ have to cast down everything that has raised itself up against the backdrop of the Word of God, the plan of heaven for your life, and your freedom in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 10:5

Stand upon The Word, I say again, stand – Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

Discerning God’s Will!!!

discernmentI am saddened that there are tonnes that were saved just like Charles Spurgeon, apostle Paul, and a host others were saved, that are still doubting the power of the saving grace of Jesus Christ to really save, transform, and renew. Thereby living in ignorance of the extent of the capability of the blood of Jesus Christ to reach to the deepest pit, pull up, cleanse, make whole, shield, strengthen, heal, deliver, empower, renew, give sight, provide, restore, build up, do the impossible and much more.

Oh that you will open the eyes of your people Oh Lord to see the depth of your love for mankind. Lord, open thou our eyes to see wondrous things in your word. Give us depth of insight into the mysteries of your Kingdom.  Luke 8:10 And He said, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but to the rest it is given in parables, that ‘Seeing they may not see, And hearing they may not understand.’

In the Kingdom of God nothing of eternal value can be accomplished without love for God and your fellow being. Matthew 22:34 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” 37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Our God does weigh the intent of our hearts. Only Him sees us the way we really and truly are! Are we measuring others with the same measuring line we use for ourselves? God sees!! If we are not able to see, the least we can do is to be kind and generous.

I pray Lord that you will help us to seek for the good of others as we seek for ours. Help us to yield to you totally in all our ways so you can use us for the glory of your name right where we are, and at every level and spheres of our walk with you.

1 Corinthians 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

Psalms 19:12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults.
13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins;
Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless,
And I shall be innocent of great transgression.

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.
