Futile Confidence In Egypt

“What sorrow awaits my rebellious children,” says the Lord .

“You make plans that are contrary to mine.

You make alliances not directed by my Spirit, thus piling up your sins.

For without consulting me, you have gone down to Egypt for help.

You have put your trust in Pharaoh’s protection. You have tried to hide in his shade. But by trusting Pharaoh, you will be humiliated, and by depending on him, you will be disgraced.

For though his power extends to Zoan and his officials have arrived in Hanes, all who trust in him will be ashamed. He will not help you. Instead, he will disgrace you.”
Isaiah 30:1‭-‬5

This is what the Sovereign Lord , the Holy One of Israel, says: “Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. But you would have none of it.
Isaiah 30:15 NLT

Even Faith!!!!!

Oh that my faith will grow that I may have wings to fly! Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is an absolute for every believer to reach their highest potential, receive from the Lord and fulfill God given destiny.

hebrew-11In Matthew 8:2A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy”. Jesus is willing and able to make us clean. He wants so much to beautify everyone of His brethren. The question then is, are you willing to be clean? The man with Leprosy desired to be make clean and asked for it! Are you desirous of been made whole? Ask Jesus for it!

Simple faith in the capability of The Word to reach and transform our lives is paramount to receiving from the Lord. The Centurion man exhibited great faith by believing that just the word spoken by Christ is able to reach his sick servant at home – Matthew 8:8. What then is that situation that has been, and not palatable in our lives? Have faith today in The Word, speak the Word in Jesus name and the situation must change. Be unwavering in your faith, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. Believe that all things are possible with Jesus Christ in your camp. The Word works my friends, it works wonders every time applied with faith in line with the will of God. Jesus drove out the evil spirits with a word and healed all the sick. He will do same for you today. Call upon Jesus!

One other thing you must realize friends is that Jesus Christ, God made flesh went through storms. He got into a boat and a furious storm came up on the lake, presumably to swallow up destiny – Matthew 8:24. Jesus experienced storm, how much more you and I friends, be assured though that no storm can overcome us as long as we have Jesus in our boat.

Do you have Jesus in your boat? Are you born again? Have you invited and accepted Christ into your heart? Do you trust Jesus with your life, the life He gave you? Your faith and trust in Christ will enable you to ride through every and any storm triumphantly. There is power in the Word of God!!!!! Jesus spoke to the wind and waves and it was completely calm. He will speak to your and my situation today! Jesus is Lord!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!

What Lies Within! Must Be Birthed!

what lies within us

There is tremendous greatness within you and I friends. When we invite Him who created us for His pleasure into our space great things happen. You haven’t achieved much until you give your ALL to your maker. Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. 9 great men are not always wise, Nor do the aged always understand justice.

When you enlist in the army of the Most High God you begin to become who you were created to be – a vessel of honor through whom blessings flow. 2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.

Will you come to Jesus Christ today to have your sins washed away, your life redeemed, restored, and rediscovered – the purpose of your being. Great things lies within you, treasures that need to be discovered, polished and released for your joy to be full and be a blessing to many.

Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Him – John 14:6

Peace be unto you!!!

David – God’s Favourite!

gods favourA while back, the Lord impressed on my heart to study the life of David. This is an insight from that study. David as a teenager from a family of 8 brothers. He was the last of them and the most insignificant, relegated to watching over his father’s sheep 1 Samuel 16:5-13. He was too young to go into battle but has a big heart, zealous for the God of his father’s – Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Friends, just imagine a teenager sent on an errand to deliver food to his brothers in the war front requesting to face the uncircumcised Philistine – Goliath that has been threatening his brothers and the whole army of Israel for days.

What came over David, you might ask! What was he thinking off? Who does he think he is? You might have been asked the same question!  Eliab accused him of arrogance/pride 1 Samuel 17:28-30, his other brothers ignored him, and might have told others that were willing to answer/converse with him to ignore him.

He who has been born and ordained to bring victory to Israel was ignored, ridiculed, maligned and what not! He faced obstacles all his life – well most of his life, fell and rose many times, referred to as a man of many sorrow, yet he found favor with God Almighty. So much so that God himself chose to come through his lineage so He, Jesus Christ could be called the Son of David, not Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob, the Son of David, the Root of David.

You see, David found favor with God and regardless of the many obstacles he faced, the sins he committed, the many wars, the revolt in his household – 2 Samuel 15, he – David was victorious over all issues of life and was greatly used of God to bring respite to Israel.

God was very happy with David that He blessed him with a son through the woman he committed adultery with, 2 Samuel 11 and 12 – God gave him Solomon to sit upon his throne even in David’s lifetime.

Friends, the Lord is able, willing and will give you a Solomon, whatever Solomon represent in your life at this moment. Out of that mess, that hiccup, His grace will birth a testimony that you will see the effect of, healing that will be a reference to others, a blessing that will outlive you, a seed that will grow and bear so much fruit that you will not have enough room for.

What was it about David? What gave him so much confidence in the face of opposition and hatred? What gave him the fortitude to keep striving even as he kept running from valley to mountains, caves to hills? He loves the Lord. He knew the Lord was with him always wherever, whenever, no matter his circumstances.

Can this be said of you? Do you know that the Lord is with you? Do you have confidence in His words, his promises and love? Do you even know Him? The Lord Jesus? He is your maker, the lover of your soul, your great reward.

Will you come to him? He bids you come!! Humble yourself before the Lord, so he can step into your space to beautify you and glorify himself in your life.

Jesus Christ is able to give you succour and strengthen you for now and the years ahead.

Come to Him now!
