Who Do People Say I Am?

Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way He asked them, Who do people say I am? 28 The replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.” 29 “But what about you? He asked. “Who do you say I am? Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.” 30 Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about him. Mark 8:27-30

I often wonder why the Lord want to know who people thought He was! He asked thrice within 3 verses technically! Jesus wanted a feed back. He wanted to know if the people can discern the things of the Spirit.

You and I also should have one or two people that can give us feedback as to “Who we are perceived to be!” We know who Christ says we are in the scriptures, however, are we conducting ourselves as such? Do we come out as loving and compassionate as we ought to be? “Who do people say I am?”

For some of us, we are different as per the different sources depending on the different bus stops of encounters. “Who do you say I am?” Jesus asked his disciples. He heard all that the people said he was, but wanted to know who his closest people, his friends, and disciples thinks he is!

I don’t know how the Lord would have taken it if none of His disciples knew who he was. I for one would have been devastated!

For the believers of today, “Who are you?” And Who does people say you are? Is your life, conduct, attitude reflective of the Christ you profess? Father!!! Help us and guide us to genuine people who will give us constructive feedback. People that will tell us how we come off and not what we want to hear so we can make amends should need be.

Caution: Don’t take yourself seriously should a feedback rub on you ….ishly! Whatever wisdom you can garner from every feed back should be applied towards an improvement. There is always room for growth, so don’t sweat it.

I Am A Confident Woman! Are You?

I am confident enough in my own skin! I am not threatened by any ones success or lack there off. I am royalty, earthly lineage of royalty on both sides, topped up by my spiritual heritage, saved by grace, joint heirs with Christ Jesus. I am precious, beautifully and wonderfully made, the seed of Abraham the friend of God, chosen of God Most High to be His. My name is Chosen, Beloved, Love, Joy, Grace, Ordained, Cherish, and I carry the Radiant Glory of the Holy One of Israel. I am not boasting!!! My Father is The Most High God!!! The Ancient of Days!!!!!! Ask Him!!!

radiant-gloryI know I am a vessel of honor in my Saviors hands! I have been blessed with a wide shoulder to lean on, a helping hand to hold another, lift up and wipe off others tears, a sensitive and listening ear, a tender heart to love yet strong enough to stand against wickedness, a bridled tongue, lips seasoned with salt, a mouth filled with words that sustains the weary, speaks truth, not a gossip or rumor monger, says it as it is, not a hypocrite, owns up for my mistakes, and not afraid to say I am sorry for any wrong done!!!

I am not perfect, knows my weaknesses and takes up Christ strength as a shield, draws from the wellsprings of grace constantly, I mean live in, joined in, embedded, enclosed, get my point?  I have a tiny winy faith, the kind that can move mountains for I am the seed of Abraham. I love my Father, for He first loved me and counted me worthy by grace alone, not by any works on my part, solely His love. A love that cannot be explained, unconditional, unchanging and always constant! Thank you Lord Jesus!

Greatness Within You – Trust God

Yes you were! Yes! you and you!

Yes you were! Yes! you and you!

The seed of greatness lies deep within everyone. The light of God shining through by the help of the Holy Spirit bring it to our consciousness. The knowledge of who we are birth a yearning, so strong a desire to bring forth that which has laid dormant within us since the beginning of time. Remember friends, before the foundations of the earth was laid, God knew us.

Jeremiah 1:4-10

4 The word of the Lord came to me, saying,5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,

before you were born I set you apart;I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
6 “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”

7 But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. 8 Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

9 Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. 10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”

What are you waiting for friends, start flexing your muscles. Every baby steps should be towards your calling in life. You are here for a purpose. A grand purpose at that, it required Jesus Christ to step in and gave himself as a ransom when great grand dad and mom sinned in the garden of Eden. Do not let that precious blood be in vain. Rise up, strengthen the feeble hand and do something, anything that will align you with the design of heaven.

Greatness await you friends! Let go of everything and everyone that do not add value to your life. Ask God to show you what to do. He told Samuel in 1 Samuel 16:3 …..” I will show you what to do”. He still speaks and will speak to your situation if you would only listen and be obedient. Does it really matter what people will say or not say? Who cares? You? Then you are not yet ready to tap into the greatness within your reach, the greatness that God planted in your heart.

Stand with God, he will see you through. Trust God’s judgement, he knows way more than you could ever know and sees farther than you could. Jeremiah 32:19 Great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds. Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind;……

The Lord that started a good thing in your life is able to complete it, he will perfect it, yield yourself, trust God and he will grant you the desires of your heart. Every of your action backed by faith in the written word of God shall prosper. Trust thou in the Lord ye children of the Most High God.
