“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,” Matthew 5:44 NIV
We often read this with a grain of salt! Why? Because we think that’s too hard, and why should I pray for someone hurting me!
God knows that when we pray for our perceived enemies, we stop hate in its track. On the other hand, the evil sent by the enemy falls upon their own heads.
Someone confessed a while back, every evil thought projected at you manifest in my life, and the good also, so I know I have to think good and pleasant thoughts towards you!
Friends, The Word says whoever digs a pit shall fall into it, whoever roll a stone shall have the stone roll over them – Proverbs 26:27
Should you not start doing good, thinking good and projecting good towards others so that good may come your way consistently?
Father, thank you for your faithfulness towards us, we ask that your Holy Spirit will find expression in our hearts in Jesus name. Amen
Every organization in the secular world conduct assessment on all employees, it encourages individual self assessment, and promote continuous learning to drive self and process improvement for the sustainability of the organization.
I want to let you know that the Scriptures also encourages believers to assess themselves to drive repentance, growth and maturity as a witness to our inward transformation, and outward representation of our divinity.
“Brothers and Sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive rich welcome into the eternal kingdom” 2 Peter 1:10-11
Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you – unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:5

Friends, when was the last time you examined yourself? When was the last time you conducted an evaluation of yourself to identify faith gap, unbelief, doubt, and outright sin in your life? It is what we know that is lacking in us that we will talk to our Father in heaven about, and get help with.
I know many of us see ourselves as perfect and has no room for improvement. We are just great the way we are eh? Yes! You are wrong if you think and act like this. The very wise know that what they do not know is so much more than what they already know, hence they listen more, ask questions, research, and observe more keenly, they learn, and take action to apply every knowledge gained.
You and I need to do a check up of ourselves friends, not to be critical of ourselves, but to identify where we need to grow, and repentance becomes easy when we realize our mistakes and shortcomings. Self assessment truly drives growth if you think about it.
Do the necessary checkup! Then talk to our helper about it! Shalom!

An excerpt from Recapture The Wonder by Ravi Zacharias
“Wretchedness and failure understandably breed cynicism. Power and beauty, we assume, bring contentment. One has lost all hope for what he would make of his life; the other has attained the ideal. But the question emerges, Has he really? On the surface it would appear to be true. Yet I have my doubts.”
Fear is a killer. Fear is a destroyer of destinies. Fear is the stealer of good fortune. Fear is a time waster! Fear is one of the tools in the arsenal of Satan. Fear is what principalities and powers use to keep you away from your God given destiny. Fear is what the agent of darkness uses to keep you in perpetual mediocrity. Fear is what oppressors use to keep you subservient to their whims. Fear must never be embraced! Fear must be resisted, and put in its place. Resist and it will flee from you -James 4-7 !
Fear steals your backbone.
There is provision for you and I in 2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. We have an assurance every single day to pick one fear not off of our clothing rack every single day plus 1 extra. We must wear fear not as an armour to deflect ever arrow of fear shot at us. Many Bible schoolers have confirmed that there is 366 “Fear Not” in the Book of Life. Pick one up daily!
Fear is what makes you to know the truth yet keep quiet about it. Fear is what makes you to stay silent in the face of injustice, racism, fascism, and every kind of evil towards others. Fear immobilizes you, and erodes your will power. Fear makes you to be less of yourself. Fear is what makes you to sit when you ought to stand! Fear steals your backbone.
To conquer fear, you must look it in the face without blinking. You must face your fears, analyse it, and come up with strategies to confront it. With fear, you must not take a break enforcing your right. Just a leeway is all it need to control you! Be consciously aware of what is real, what is presenting itself to you as reality, and what the true presenting situation is. Be proactive in confronting your fears

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path. where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. ONLY I WILL REMAIN. Frank Herbert – 1920-1986 – American Writer
Confront your fear, give it no room, put it where it belongs so you can soar on eagles wings. You are capable of flying friends, let no fear keep you bound!
