Spiritual Warfare In The Mind!

Spiritual Warfare is initiated in the realm of the Spirit and only by the spirit of God can we discern before it comes to the realm of the physical. Spiritual Warfare starts from the mind before it manifests in the physical. The devil and his fallen angels as stated in the Open Heavens Devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye today says “Satan and his fallen angels are organized into a well-coordinated army that is skillful in carrying out devastating attacks on their victims.”

As a beautiful young woman, you may look in the mirror one day and see a flaw, a wrinkle, pimple or something and the enemy will whisper ugly! Or be at a doctors office, making arrangement for a scheduled casual procedure and you hear a voice from within saying ” the day of your death”. Or you may look at a brother, a sister, a child, your spouse and feel disgust towards them. Mind you, they haven’t done anything, and you don’t know why, but you just feel disgusted.

The devil can blind you from seeing the beauty of God in yourself, he can bring fear into your life, and unnecessary hatred towards others. He achieves this at your mind level, and if not countered with the word of God, will degenerate into full-blown self-loathing, bondage to fear, and wickedness towards others.

This is the reason why believers should measure our thoughts by the yardstick of  Philippians 4:8 whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

We must daily remind ourselves according to 2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. 7 Do you look at things according to the outward appearance? 

You should not anymore. The battle being fought is against the devil, not those individuals opposing you. You should know that before people start speaking ill of you, Satan must have gone sowing seeds in the minds of those without the Holy Spirit as guards over their ears and heart. You deal with the devil by the blood of Jesus and the word of your testimony – Revelation 12:11

We need to constantly renew our minds by the word of God so we will not give room to the enemy to build a stronghold in our minds – Romans 12:2

Guard Your Heart.

2 Samuel 14:1 Joab son of Zeruiah knew that the king’s heart longed for Absalom.2 So Joab sent someone to Tekoa and had a wise woman brought from there. He said to her, “Pretend you are in mourning. Dress in mourning clothes, and don’t use any cosmetic lotions. Act like a woman who has spent many days grieving for the dead. 3 Then go to the king and speak these words to him.” And Joab put the words in her mouth.;

The craftiness of Man!!! Joab understood how hurt the King was with the death of a son, the defilement of a daughter and self banishment of another son. The force of darkness came to kill, steal, and destroy. It all started with a thought in the heart of man, an inordinate affection unchecked, unrestrained. – 2 Samuel 13:2.

Yet, Joab, not been a sycophant, knew the right thing was for the King to bring back the Prince, hence the craftiness of his action to employ a wise woman to indirectly speak to King David. The King would not have listened otherwise and his compassionate heart was indirectly spoken to.

Who is speaking to your mind? What are you hearing and seeing? What is all around you? Are you aware what you hear and see affect ultimately your thought, words and action? Be conscious of what you feed your soul? Anyone who has your ears has your heart. Be cautious!!

The Lord Shield! Leave The Hedge!

Friends, the Lord our God in His infinite mercy built a hedge of protection round about all His children, shielding us from the fiery darts of the wicked one, not because of our righteousness or good works, but because of His great mercies and love by the blood of Jesus Christ.  Lamentation 3:22 It is of the Lord‘s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion fail not. 23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

gods-protectionI beseech you therefor in the name of the Most High God! Do not break the hedge!!!!!! Do not stretch forth your hands to commit evil. The wicked one is restrained by the mighty hand of the Living God, the serpent is curled up and encased, but alive, do yourself a favor, do not take the grace of God for granted. Isaiah 7: 13 Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! (Dearest Friends) Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also? Though you have not asked for a sign like Ahab, the Lord will show you a sign!!!! Romans 2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? The Lord is not willing that any should perish but for all to come to repentance of ALL our sins. Take heed friends!!!!!!

Micah 7:1 What misery is mine!
I am like one who gathers summer fruit
    at the gleaning of the vineyard;
there is no cluster of grapes to eat,
    none of the early figs that I crave.
2 The faithful have been swept from the land;
    not one upright person remains.
Everyone lies in wait to shed blood;
    they hunt each other with nets.
3 Both hands are skilled in doing evil;
    the ruler demands gifts,
the judge accepts bribes,
    the powerful dictate what they desire—
    they all conspire together.
4 The best of them is like a brier,
    the most upright worse than a thorn hedge.
The day God visits you has come,
    the day your watchmen sound the alarm.
    Now is the time of your confusion.
5 Do not trust a neighbor;
    put no confidence in a friend.
Even with the woman who lies in your embrace
    guard the words of your lips.

a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—
    a man’s enemies are the members of his own household.

7 But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord,
    I wait for God my Savior;
    my God will hear me.

My Father and my Lord, the Eternal King of Glory, I praise your Holy name. Lord be magnified. Thank you for your loving kindness over us all. We worship you Mighty God. Father we ask for mercy. Forgive us for taking your love and patience for granted. Help us to honor you in all our ways Lord! May we humble ourselves so you might lift us, fill us, and use us as vessels unto honor. May we not sin against you Lord. We acknowledge your Sovereignty over the affairs of our lives Lord, deliver us from ourselves – those sins that easily beseth us. Set a guard at the doors of our mouth Lord, let no unwholesome words proceed out of us. Purify our hearts and fill us afresh with your Holy Spirit. Have your way, Spirit of the Most High God! You are the Spirit of Truth, guide us away from errors in Jesus Christ mighty name we pray. Amen

 

The Armour!

1 Peter 5:1 The elders who are among you I exhort, I who am a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that will be revealed: 2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; 3 nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; 4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. 5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.      

(The devil devours by causing dissensions amongst brethren, otherwise cordial relationship suddenly turns sour and punches are thrown here and there while the enemy gains ground and set destruction in motion. We are busy pointing accusing fingers while souls are perishing right before our very eyes.

The enemy will come after you – that is his job, every which way once you have a great destiny to fulfil , which we all do. He will set up shop in your heart, relationship, career, business, work, ministry, in short in your world to make sure you are so distracted that you’ll forget that wonderful dream. Its a ploy you must realize by now. For the devil comes but to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly.  Stand strong then in the capability of the Lord by His Holy Spirit that lives in you. Hold unto the Lord, draw your strength from heaven and push back the wicked one)  

9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Ephesians 6: 14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Wisdom – The Principal Thing!

download (1)James 1: 5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Wisdom is required to be a sign and a wonder! Wisdom is needful to be who God created us to be. Wisdom is required to rule in the midst of our enemies.  Friends, wisdom is required to bring forth treasures from earthen vessels! God did invest so much in you and I before the foundation of the earth was laid, before we ever came into being! We have so much within that needs to be brought out for the pleasure of the Most High God. There are precious and rare gifts in each of us that needs to be unwrapped! Wisdom is required to live life, to fulfil purpose, to operate as an heavenly being on earth! Wisdom is necessary to have dominion!

Proverbs 4: 5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. 6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you. 7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.  8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her. 9 She will place on your head an ornament of grace; A crown of glory she will deliver to you.”

How then do we know we have received wisdom, this precious seed that gives birth to seeds from which all our needs are met?

1 John 5: 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Now that you have received wisdom what next? Put your wisdom to work to showcase the grace of God in your life. You and I have received wisdom to birth the greatness within us friends! Let us begin to act on the Word we have received by the help of the Holy Spirit to be who God created us to be.

Romans 8: 19 For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.

Friends, we have been crowned with glory and honor, we are joint heirs with Christ Jesus, endowed with wisdom from above, the wisdom that is not of this world, we have the Holy Spirit – the power of God Almighty within Us, what are we waiting for?

Step out in confidence of guaranteed victory, wonder, signs and miracles in Christ Jesus for the World is waiting for US. We are desperately needed to manifest God’s divine presence as light shining bright in utter darkness.

Almighty Father, Eternal King of Glory, Everlasting King of Kings, let your kingdom come upon us and your will be done in our lives, homes, families and Churches in Jesus mighty name. Amen
