Remember The Past! See God?

More often than not, we are taught to forget the past so that we can live presently and can have a future.  I however have realized that if I don’t visit my past every now and then, I don’t see God’s mighty hand clearly as I should.

You see, when I look back, it reminds me of where I was and how God moved me from there to here, and gives me a glimpse of where He is lovingly taking me too. The awesomeness of a loving Father leading me reluctantly as I was from unhappiness, dirt, and failure to joy, cleanliness, and success.

god-is-ableKing David always looked back to his days as a Sheppard boy. How God brought him from there to kill a giant and ultimately make him the King of the great nation, God’s own people of Israel. He was able to praise God more than any other person in the Scriptures.

I found out that when we forget where we are coming from as a people, we forget about the Sovereignty of God our Savior in our lives .  We often fall into the error of self sufficiency in living, ordering our lives to please ourselves. We forget like the rich fool that our days are numbered and should be lived for God’s glory.

Remembering the difficult situations and circumstances I had faced, how God showed up and broke through, humbles me and gives me hope that no matter what, when storms rage outside, within, all around, whenever, however, God who did it before will calm this one also.

All the near tragedies of youths, the wickedness that would have ended the precious life of a five year old, the exuberance of teenagers, the experimental ‘wisdom’ of young adulthood, choices made, mistake made, action taken, steps that would have ended it all, but God in His infinite mercy stepped in and turned everything around for His glory. I must never ever forget that. Thank you Lord!

Remembering keeps me grounded, it helps me not to think too highly of myself, it helps me to forgive, for I have been forgiven much, it helps me to be more sensitive to others needs.

The past gives meaning to the present and shows a glimpse of the beauty of the future – only when you have come to the awareness of The Sovereign God ruling in the affairs of man though.

No happenstance in destiny. It is planned and executed by heaven, so save yourself unnecessary agony and yield your all to Jesus Christ today. Acknowledge your sinful nature, repent, ask for forgiveness, invite Jesus into your life as Lord and Saviour, put Him in the driver seat of your life!

Praise God, for your life will never remain the same.  As you grow in the spirit your capacity to see, hear and understand will increase and you will be able to make sense of living life, for it is for a higher purpose beyond here and now! Eternity with Christ, and damnation is real!  Your choice friends!!!!!!!

I pray you choose the Lord Jesus today!

Peace be unto you!

Greatful For All!!!!

You have a great destiny! Embrace it prayerfully!
You have a great destiny! Embrace it prayerfully!

Psalms 113

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

2 Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD’s name is to be praised.

4 The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

5 Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,

6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.

How wonderful are your kindness to me Oh Lord! Age to age you are God. It is strange Lord that I am been thankful for the storms,  the trials, tribulations and temptations of life. Thank you Lord for my failures and successes, thank you for everything.

I have come to realize that I gained more insight through and from trials, temptations, trouble and failures than I did in my successes. It is through these pains and hurts that I discovered myself in Christ Jesus.

Had I not known troubles, would I have known the Lord and the power of His resurrection progressively as it is today? Probably not!  I’ve always praised God and been thankful when all is going on as planned and expected – untroubled and carefree.

I would most likely be full of myself by now for all that is mine, honor, prestige, a dotting hubby, wonderful children, great career, my finances, divine health for me and mine, mishaps that we scaled through, lest I forget, my physical attributes – how good looking I am, my charisma, personality and all sort.

God is so gracious to me so much that He packaged everything well to be unwrapped at His own timing because of His love for me. He hid treasures in this earthen vessel I couldn’t even imagine. The most coveted treasures kept in a seemingly unloved, unappreciated, unapproved, and unwanted vessel.

How could anything good come out of Nazareth the Jews of Jesus’s days said. Well God had a different plan! It is a plan to use the rejected stone, to settle the lonely in family, to heal the broken heart, set the captives free, qualify the unqualified, make the barren mother of ten sons, raise up the poor out of the dust, and lift up the needy out of the dunghill; that He may set her up with princes,  even the princes of his people.

Grateful Lord for choosing the vessels you chose. I have thought deeply about your criteria Lord and have resolved to just yeild. My striving led me to disobedience, pain and hurt. There is no point striving with my maker. You are the Sovereign Lord and do as you please. I am grateful for pulling me to your side for that which is of eternal purpose.

I can see very clearly my mansion in glory and the crown on my head. I see Lord through your eyes the glorious city of Jerusalem bright and beautiful waiting to be inhabited by your saints that have washed their cloak in the blood of the Lamb.

Friends, yield yourself under the mighty hand of God. Accept that you are in need of a savior, for we know that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Believe in your heart that Christ Jesus came and died for your sin, confess His Lordship over your life. Choose to live uprightly before God and man. Flee from all appearances of evil and read the bible daily.

May the Lord keep and watch over you and yours. May the light of His countenance overshadow you all the days of your life In Jesus Christ mighty name I pray. Amen
