Years ago when I was pregnant with my son, there was a doctor that will always ask me to go to my “happy place” for a while before taking my blood pressure.
I asked him what that meant and he explained to me that when I think of good stuff, things that gives me joy, beautiful memories, that these affect my mood, heart and my blood pressure readings.
I don’t know if there is a scientific truth to back it up but hey, it has worked for me till today.
I do not only go back to good memories, but create beautiful future in my mind, and dwell on the beauty around me presently.
As a man thinks in his heart so is he. Proverbs 23:7
You must only think good thoughts, allow your imagination to guide you away from anxiety and fear.
Only goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. Psalms 23:6. Dwell on such. Good!
I am only expecting goodness and I have been seeing goodness.
When you look at me, what you see is what is in your heart.
Shalom!
