Reward Of Evil Is Costly!!!!

Proverb 10:2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

1 Chronicles 10:13 Saul died because he was unfaithful to the Lord; he did not keep the word of the Lord and even consulted a medium for guidance, 14 and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse.

1 Chronicles 11:9 And David became more and more powerful, because the Lord Almighty was with him.

1 Chronicles 12:1 These were the men who came to David at Ziklag, while he was banished from the presence of Saul son of Kish (they were among the warriors who helped him in battle; 2 they were armed with bows and were able to shoot arrows or to sling stones right-handed or left-handed; they were relatives of Saul from the tribe of Benjamin):

1 Chronicles 12: 16 Other Benjamites and some men from Judah also came to David in his stronghold. 17 David went out to meet them and said to them, “If you have come to me in peace to help me, I am ready for you to join me. But if you have come to betray me to my enemies when my hands are free from violence, may the God of our ancestors see it and judge you.”

18 Then the Spirit came on Amasai, chief of the Thirty, and he said: “We are yours, David! We are with you, son of Jesse!
Success, success to you, and success to those who help you, for your God will help you.”

22 Day after day men came to help David, until he had a great army, like the army of God.

Like Vashti’s arrogance – Esther 1:10-22, Haman’s ego plot – Esther 3:1-6; 5:9-14 ;6 & 7,  Judas greed and betrayal – Luke 22:1-6, Ananias and Sapphira’s deception – Acts 5:1-10, Saul’s envying and hatred of David led him to unfaithfulness towards God. King Saul was anointed, prophesied as God’s oracle but ended up consulting medium at the end of his life. He lost eternity!  

Every act of wickedness towards another in whatever shape or form will lead you through the wide gate to hell. Every mud thrown at a child of God is used to build platform to showcase God’s glory in her life. The mud thrower then sinks further down into misery, pain and shame. Wise up!!!!

David kept growing stronger and stronger because the Lord was with Him. He remain faithful to God regardless of Saul’s attempt on his life. David feared God or else one single blow, Saul will be history and he will lose eternity. David was far more smarter than Saul hence he was promoted and his throne endured even till now.

What are you modelling? What pattern are you setting where you have been placed? Are you living right before God and man? Love and hatred can not reside together in a child of the Most High. Would you let it go, be healed of whatever ails you. Low self esteem, dissatisfaction, disappointment, rejection, whatever! Please let it go, let Christ embrace you.

Find yourself in the Lord and begin to enjoy what He has already given you. Stop looking for trouble when you should be celebrating. You cannot handle trouble! It is not palatable at all!

Recline and enjoy the grace of God freely given to you. Confess and forsake all unrighteousness, live for Christ and receive peace like a river in your soul. May the Lord be gracious to you and bless you more and more in Jesus mighty name. Amen
