I’m not a Christian, and I didn’t watch this guys video, but I love the sentiment in your first few lines of post. I love Christ, and count myself a follower. In order to do that, I have had to get out of the box in which Christians so resolutely abide.
Christ and Christians are not the same thing. In order to follow Christ one must listen to what Christ has to say, even when He calls us out of Christianity. I do believe a one-on-one relationship is what is embodied in the word ecclesia, which translated is “called out”. Too bad the Bible translators chose to translate ecclesia as “church”.
You are so on point! This generation of “Christians” are so far from Christ in many instances! Until we all as in beholding in a mirror are being transformed into Christ image, from glory to glory! Christians, Christ followers, called out must and should represent Christ in the world!
