Self Assessment Drives Growth

Every organization in the secular world conduct assessment on all employees, it encourages individual self assessment, and promote continuous learning to drive self and process improvement for the sustainability of the organization.

I want to let you know that the Scriptures also encourages believers to assess themselves to drive repentance, growth and maturity as a witness to our inward transformation, and outward representation of our divinity.

“Brothers and Sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, and you will receive rich welcome into the eternal kingdom” 2 Peter 1:10-11

Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you – unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:5

This piece is culled from The Magic of Thinking Big

Friends, when was the last time you examined yourself? When was the last time you conducted an evaluation of yourself to identify faith gap, unbelief, doubt, and outright sin in your life? It is what we know that is lacking in us that we will talk to our Father in heaven about, and get help with.

I know many of us see ourselves as perfect and has no room for improvement. We are just great the way we are eh? Yes! You are wrong if you think and act like this. The very wise know that what they do not know is so much more than what they already know, hence they listen more, ask questions, research, and observe more keenly, they learn, and take action to apply every knowledge gained.

You and I need to do a check up of ourselves friends, not to be critical of ourselves, but to identify where we need to grow, and repentance becomes easy when we realize our mistakes and shortcomings. Self assessment truly drives growth if you think about it.

Do the necessary checkup! Then talk to our helper about it!
Shalom!

Processing…
Success! You're on the list.
