God’s Help! Your Honour!

2 Chronicles 25 :1 Amaziah was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. …….And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a loyal heart. 3 …..The King gathered Judah together and also hired mighty men of valor from Israel for war but God sent help/word to him . Verse 7  But a man of God came to him, saying, “O king, do not let the army of Israel go with you, for the Lord is not with Israel—not with any of the children of Ephraim. But if you go, be gone! Be strong in battle! Even so, God shall make you fall before the enemy; for God has power to help and to overthrow.”Then Amaziah said to the man of God, “But what shall we do about the hundred talents which I have given to the troops of Israel?” And the man of God answered, “The Lord is able to give you much more than this.10 So Amaziah discharged the troops that had come to him

honoring-god-at-school-8-728Many times God will send help to us and we take it for granted. In times of need when we call unto God He always answers but what do we do when all seems right, when we have all our hearts desires. We become absolute, know it all, have it all in “My capability”. We quickly forget and go the ways of our fore fathers. Verse 15 Therefore the anger of the Lord was aroused against Amaziah, and He sent him a prophet who said to him, “Why have you sought the gods of the people, which could not rescue their own people from your hand?” 16 ……Then the prophet ceased, and said, “I know that God has determined to destroy you, because you have done this and have not heeded my advice.”

God will honour those who honour Him!

Isaiah 59:1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened,
That it cannot save;
Nor His ear heavy,
That it cannot hear.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you,
So that He will not hear.
For your hands are defiled with blood,
And your fingers with iniquity;
Your lips have spoken lies,
Your tongue has muttered perversity.

Repent therefore and let us seek the face of God in spirit and in truth. Let the wicked forsake His evil ways. The Lord bid you come unto Him today while it is still today!

Father we come before you today by the blood of Jesus, forgive us of all unrighteousness in our words, thoughts, and actions. In what we have done and failed to do, in every way Lord forgive us in Jesus Mighty name. Amen
