Caution With Words! Vow!

Proverb 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

the heart

Ecclesiastes 5 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God and be more ready to hear than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words. When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that, thou shouldest vow and not pay.

Proverb 10:19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. 20 The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.

self denial

Friends, do not be hasty in speaking before the Lord! The wise must exercise restraint when speaking before the Lord who is Mighty. An audience with a King, an MP, Minister, or even The Press warrant tasting our words before we spit it out, how much more before a Mighty God. The book of Proverbs warns many a time that fools are snared by the words of their mouth.

Proverb 25:11 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. 12 As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear. 13 As the cold of snow in the time of harvest so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.14 Whoso boasteth himself of a false gift is like clouds and wind without rain.

The awareness of who you are, who’s you are, who lives in you, and who you are standing before should caution your incessant outburst.

Matthew 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. 33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words, thou shalt be condemned.

Do not be rash before the Lord! If this has been your pattern, repent today! The words that go out must find a resting place – Judges 11!!

Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
