As published a while ago, titled “Spiritual Alertness – Communion With God and Man.
The Church, you and I, the body of Christ have been living in safety, at peace and secure. We have been dull of hearing, insensitive to the times we are in like the people of Laish in Judges 18:7-10. We are not playing defense, nor attack, neither are we shining. The Church is complacent, safely playing Church, lukewarm when we should be hot and be in the attack mode, to uproot and to destroy every work of wickedness within and around us.
The Holy Spirit is not having its expression in our midst as He should because of the state of our hearts, the temperature of our gathering. We are minimizing our shine, the power that lays within us. Compromising our faith in other to conform to the world, to be liked by those of this world, when we already know we are not of this world – John 17:14
1 Kings 19:18 Yet I have reserved seven thousand in Israel, all whose knees have not bowed to Baal, and every mouth that has not kissed him.” Says the Lord. There is a remnant though, those that have not sold their heart to the devil, not bought over by the prosperity or hyper-grace gospel. Those whose garment is without a wrinkle sold out to the Lord come what may! Those whose heart is stayed on the Lord, not polluted or distracted by the love of all that we see with physical eyes.
There is a remnant, immersed and submerged in the water, waiting for a time appointed to arise shine for the glory of the Lord has risen. I wonder why many are not feeling the unrest, the troubling in the body even now! There is an awakening, even though sleep has fallen on many! Oh Lord, open our spiritual eyes to see!
Now is the time for the Church as a body and individuals to set aside every encumbrance and arise shine, to let the light of God shine through us to the dark places in the world, bringing salvation to sinners, hope to the hopeless, joy to the heartbroken, and prepare the way for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom be glory, honor and adoration world without end. Amen
