When you are striving for a crown, there is no room to waver. You must dig in your heel or else like Peter, you might sink. Matthew 14: 29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Discouragement will definitely come from different avenues. The facts of life will buffet you with tempest, other forces will band together to wear you out, cause fear, all this is to weary you out, to take your eyes off your goal.
1 Corinthians 9: 26 do not run like someone running aimlessly; do not fight like a boxer beating the air.
