Eternal Life! Nature of Life!

John 17:3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. This is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself in a conversation with the Father of Spirits. This is what eternal life is all about. KNOWING THE ONLY TRUE GOD AND JESUS CHRIST WHOM GOD SENT!

Knowing the Lord Jesus, having eternal life does not negate the forces of nature in terms of living in this world. There will always be seed time and harvest time. seasons will come and go, laughter and pain will walk hand in hand, there will be plenty and scarcity will dance around it, yet Christ Jesus reign supreme over these things.

Friends, what the Lord want for us is not only the aesthetic of this world, but also eternal life. To know the true God and lead others to Him regardless of their status, economies, and position in life. Jesus took time to talk to the Father about this. Eternal Life!

Jesus also told us what to do in Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

John 17²⁰ “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, ²¹ that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. ²² I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— ²³ I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

²⁴ “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

²⁵ “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. ²⁶ I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

Friends, we are to make Christ known to those that are without. That is the assignment we all have. To make Christ known not only in our words, but in our actions, the way we live, move and have our being.

Father, help me to live a life worthy of your calling. Let me by my action and way of being be an example, present an accurate representation of Christ Jesus to my world, I pray in Jesus mighty name. Amen
