The scriptures says the glory of the latter shall be greater than the former. Haggai 2:9 ‘The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the Lord Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”
The Scriptures also said that we, believers, are the temple of the living God. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? It explains in many ways that God lives in Us by His Holy Spirit. And by virtue of the fact that God breathe into the clay He formed even back then- Genesis 2:7, every living human has the glory of God in him. We are sons of God!
I want to establish for you that you have and carry glory. In every stage of your being, you carry glory. Don’t you dare let another human tell you that you do not have glory or that it is shame that is trailing you. Look intently at anyone saying that and say get behind me Satan. That voice is from the pit of hell!
You cannot be a human being without glory! It is the glory, the breathe of the Almighty that makes us different from animals. We all carry GLORY!
See, I grew up in royalty on both side of my family. My mum is from royalty on both side also. On my mother side, I knew the late Ooni Adesoji Aderemi as a little girl. My great grandmother and the Queen were siblings. They both lived long and told story of how they were princesses from Oyo and so on. Both sisters passed on in the 1990s. Ooni’s first child, Aunty Awujo as my mum used to called her, was very close to my mum. My mum is late, but she is still living. On my Father side same story. The family’s progenitor was so powerful that every other Chief and the King in the Kingdom paid homage to him. The respect is still there for The Sora Family today.
Why am I saying all this? Growing up in such an environment, knowing who my ancestors were, unconsciously makes me exude an aura of some sort. I walk like I own the land I have been told many times. There is a glory, a gait in my steps, an aura, that many may have misinterpreted or misunderstood. Knowing who you are exude a knowing, albeit unconsciously regardless of whatever circumstances or situation you are in. I am all the way here in North America where no one knows who all these people were, and frankly who cares? Upbringing, values, and beliefs makes me to carry myself differently.
For someone like me, being star struck is out of the question. I was raised to speak my mind, be bold, respectful, truthful, just, and kind. I celebrate everyone equally as a being, either poor or rich, and to treat anyone in a condescending way because of any erroneous criteria or faulty perception is most repulsive to me. My father was one of those that studied in England in the fifties, and he was a well cultured man who raised us well.
As believers, knowing who we were before the foundation of the earth was laid, and who we are today in Christ Jesus will help us to debunk the lies of the devil. There are many lies flowing around from different avenues that if you do not know who you are, you will be swept under, deceived into being less than you are capable of being.
Joseph knew who he was, he had seen dreams of what his destiny entails. He became a slave in Egypt, yet his glory was evident to Mr Potiphar, Mrs Potiphar, and even to the jailers. You may not have royal blood in you, however you have the blood lineage of Jesus Christ, you are a seed of Abraham, God’s friend. You were purchase with a price. The blood of Jesus was shed for you! Menh, let no one tell you , you carry no glory. I see glory all over you! You hear me? You have glory and honor all over you. Believe this for it is The Truth.
Shalom!

I love that verse you shared, latter shall be greater than the former. It tells me that my future will be better than anything I experienced in life.
Thanks for sharing this.

I remind myself of that so often when anyone tells me I can not do a thing.
