When we experience ill health, pain, sorrow, disappointment, betrayal, lack, rejection, oppression and the likes on earth we liken it to hell. When you are in a situation where nothing seems not to work as it should and you have tough times, it is hard enough but still is not hell. Difficulties of any kind on earth can never be compared with the abode of ultimate torment, where pain is multiplied into infinity.
What am I saying here? Just that, you cannot afford to go through hard times here on earth and still do not make it to heaven. That my friend is a disaster. Neither should you think because life is good with you right here, how can it not be on the other side. Don’t be like the rich man of Luke 16.
Luke 16:19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. 20 At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores 21 and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’ 25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’
You and I need to make a choice right where we are this moment. Will it be hell or heaven? Choose ye this day whom you will serve – Joshua 24:15 Will you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior today? We all need a savior, to deliver us from eternal damnation. You need to believe in your heart that Christ Jesus is the Son of the Most High God, who himself is God, but became flesh in order to take away our sin. Confess your sins and ask Christ Jesus to forgive you. Confess His Lordship over your life. You are now on the pathway to heaven. Praise God!
