The human heart and ears accept everything except truth with joy, especially when our wrong is pointed out to us. When you tell the truth to some, you have become their enemies. We must not dilute the truth of the matter just to be in the good books of our hearers!
Apostle Paul experienced this amongst many others. Galatian 4:16 He asked, ” Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?”. This was in the Galatians observation of special days, months and so on. Yet, this can be applied across board.
Friends, the one that tells you, and shows you what you are doing wrong loves you! I mean, if you come out of a bathroom with used tissue hanging out of the back of your skirt, or your zipper is down, and everyone can see your business, you would want someone to tell you right? Why then will you not want someone to tell you that you have become vain in your attitude?
Lord I am asking this day for a friend like no other, true, loyal, and discreet. A friend that will correct me in love, tell me the truth about my oversight, and pray for me. Drive far from me everyone that will sugar coat thier speech around me, tiptoe over my mistakes, and praise my errors, yet gossip about me.
Holy Spirit, let the truth of The Word begin to shape my life to conform to the image of my Lord and Saviour. Jesus Chirst the King eternal, world without end in Jesus mighty name. Amen
Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
