Just a thought in the shower tonight!! In 2 Kings 5, the story about the leprose Syrian general, the slave girl from Israel, and Gehazi.
If Naaman had not listened to the slave girl he would have remained a leper till his death. He was fortunate to have had a good and approachable woman as his wife.
Bring the scene to our present day and you will see how futile this would be. Imagine an househelp, maid, nanny, whatever they are called in your locale, making suggestion to the woman of the house of a top general or better still the vice president of a country, governor, or top official!
When Naaman took her as slave from Israel, he never knew God was setting him up to be blessed! God just needed to see his obedience all the way to heal him!
There are treasures in earthen vessels friends, pray for the eyes that sees, the ears that hears, a receptive and obedient heart.
Lord help us to see your handwriting on the wall of our hearts. Help us to see you in every situation. Let us not be a Gehazi, covetous and disobedient! May we discern and honor your anointing always in Jesus Christ mighty name.
Shalom! Shalom! Shalom!
