Praising God In Difficult Situation!

Acts 16:25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”

inhabit praisePaul and Silas, having been stripped and beaten with rods, were severely flogged, and then thrown into prison, yet, they prayed and sang hymns unto God. How could they sing, I mean pray unto God who did not send a whirlwind to disperse their accuser? God left us to be humiliated, why should we sing hymns unto Him? This was not questions, not even a thought for these men. They were too far gone in their faith to consider such! “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; – Job 13:15 must have been the thought in their hearts.
