Job 33: 14-16 For God may speak in one way, or in another,
Yet man does not perceive it.
15 In a dream, in a vision of the night,
When deep sleep falls upon men,
While slumbering on their beds,
16 Then He opens the ears of men,
And seals their instruction.
Just this morning, I woke up startled!Looking at the bedside clock, it was 4 am! What was that about I thought. Then I talked to my Saviour and Lord, Jesus Christ, thanking Him that I woke up from that scene. What are you trying to tell me Lord? Too sleepy to listen to the answer but wide awake enough to know this was serious.
I had dreamt about been in an hall like location. I was holding something close to my chest backing some people working hard to make a machinery work. It seem there were people to my left as onlookers and there was this man and woman trying to make an equipment work.
I was standing there unafraid and not speaking but thinking. I knew what was coming , it had swung by and I thought, maybe the man deliberately made it swing by. I realized I had my mouth stuffed with chicken. I had food in my mouth in such a precarious situation? I then thought, I wouldn’t want to choke when the blade falls. Also that all those wonderful thoughts will remain thoughts and go down just like that without the light of day?
Just then I woke up, alas it was a dream! What a weird dream? Could it be because I eat too much, prayed less or what? Could this be because of the many troubling tragedies that has been plaguing the news media that I have been listening too? What was that about?
Then I realize, the Lord was getting my attention. All those wonderful insight, talents and gifts He has bestowed on me, the one in a kind dreams and aspirations He planted in my heart will not benefit anyone IF, I do not stop stuffing my mouth with food and take action. Enough of all those excuses I have been giving. Enough of the distractions, He had told me about, should it still be a distraction Joan?. You should know better I thought to tell myself.
Make haste while the sun shines. Take action and resources will be available just at the point of need. There is so much in you to be poured out, for countless to benefit thereof! Don’t waste the giftings of God in you! Make these treasures useful for what they are created for?
Almighty Father have mercy on me. Forgive me for my unfaithfulness and cleanse me of all unrighteousness by the blood of Jesus Christ. Dear Lord, strengthen me with might by your Holy Spirit in my inner man, that Christ Jesus may dwell richly within me. Father help me to stir up that which you have deposited inside of me for the use and glory of thy Holy name. May your power manifest in my life Lord to destroy every works of Satan in my life, family, Church and community. May I be transformed Lord to reflect your Son Jesus Christ more and more to the glory of your Holy name. In Jesus Christ mighty name I pray. Amen.
